(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Greetings, Issue 1: Monday: My daughter's 2010 Maxda3 2.5L suddenly started experiencing this issue. Thankfully, she was parked at home when it started occurring. She starts the car and it idles normally. As soon as she turns on the air conditioning or the heater, the car shuts off. After a number of repeated tries I had her disconnect the battery for five minutes. When it was reconnected, the problem persisted. Scanned the car and there were no codes showing up. After leaving the car alone for a day it suddenly started working normally Wednesday morning. Wednesday evening it started billowing smoke from under the hood and blowing inside the cabin. I didn't see any cables melting nor was anything glowing. Almost seemed as if the smoke was coming from the waterpump or AC compressor. After a while, it dissipated and though it still had a strong smell it wasn't smoking. We were able to drive it for a while with no error codes nor any other issues. Issue 2: Thursday: It operated normally in the morning. In the evening, when she put the car in reverse it shut off. The heater was not on. She started the car again. This time she placed it in drive and again it shut off. Starting to think the car is possessed. Any thoughts of what this might be? Thanks in advance. |
