(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score This problem started up after the car sat for the winter. I put a brand new battery in it, cleaned the cables to ensure a good connection, but still no dice. The starter spins the engine so slowly that that tach barely comes off 0rpm. I figured this might be a cold cranking amps issue due to the fact that it is still in the 40s here, but even after wiring up my explorer with jumper cables, there was no difference in starter speed and the car still failed to start. I'm not sure if the starter needs to be replaced or if there is another issue somewhere else seeing as the starter still turns. Please help! I need this car moved ASAP!!!!!
