Site Optimization Done

I wont go into detail publically on the subject. I know youre a web developer, so there are things happening behind the scenes to get rankings up. Yes, indexing was done, but so was optimizations

I have a good friend that works at youtube/ google. Hes a mid ranking man, but if youd like ill see if theres anything he can do to get you higher on the hit list without you having to shell out for it.

google doesnt show you at all, but they tend to be slower but more accurate and useful.

Yea i had to hire a dude who specializes in google to get me up there. Ive got new metatags, titles, descriptions and he is setting backlinks everywhere. He gurantees me page 1. We will get up there, only been on line 18 days bro. lol

The money they make off the forums should be put back into the forums to make them even better, instead of stale. Pay your operating costs, than take the money and put it into the site, including raffling prizes and stuff.

In all honesty, I would be very leary of paying someone who guarantees you front page. You simply can't pay your way up in rankings (even if you have friends who work at google/yahoo/etc).

For a guy who specializes in google, he should realize that meta tags and meta descriptions are the last thing on the list google is going to count for rankings (yes, they will show up in results - but they aren't weighted heavily for rankings). You can thank previous blackhat SEOs and spammers for those being rendered useless.

As for the title tags - You should have them reversed. The title tag is the single most important thing when it comes to SEO, so it should be used wisely. Take a look at your current index on google. 23 pages indexed, all page titles look exactly the same (except for just a few). Your page titles should be reversed, so the meaningful content (that holds the terms people will search for) will come first, and the title of the site comes last. You win both ways here, and when people search for something specific - they see their terms first in the title - versus 'Mazdaspeed Forums'.

In regards to your meta keywords and descriptions - all of your pages say the exact same thing. If you are going to use them (to simply show up on the SERP) - then you should make them unique for each page. This way, when people see the results page - they see something relevant with keywords.

These are just some SEO basics, and I mean very basic. You can't pay your way to the top of any search engine.

Currently the site has no 'Ranking' (Google PageRank is still 0) at either Google or Yahoo. Yes, you are still young in SEO terms. It is indexed, but only a small amount. And, if you keep your title tags the same, and description the same, Google will just lump them together and have a link that says 'see more results like these' instead of showing relevant results.

These are just two of the major search engines, and I sure hope you get to at least see metrics related to your rankings/inbound links, traffic, etc with whoever you are paying. You should also get a keyword analysis report that lets you know terms people search to find you, and current common competitive keywords used for your market. You should see both long tail and short tail of all of your terms.

I don't know how much money you paid, but this industry is very easy for people to rip other people off by not showing them actual results. I don't want to see you get ripped off when there are other more valuable things you can spend your time/money on to optimize this site.

Great advice but one problem, Vbulletin cant be configured, at least to my knowledge, with reversing thread title first, than setting meta tags seperately for every page. If you know any tricks/hacks to do this for VB, im all ears man.
