Default Clunking w/ Rear Sway Bar...

Okay so I got it all greased up, only thing I keep getting a clunking sound...

I was hoping it was because I needed to grease them but I still get a decently loud clunk noise going over any kind of bump in the road. It sounds similar to a spare tire not being tightened down all the way and bumping around (but its not my tire nor my jack, I checked them). I rechecked all the bolts and they're all tight.

Any idea as to what this sound is? I've had the bar installed 4 months and its gotten progressively worse over the last 2 months. HELP!

Make sure you didn't install it upside down... Yes I'm serious. Happened to a local guy. Also, your nuts need to be tight. After you have taken a spin, re-tighten all the nuts.

Probably end links. I had the same clunking sound and one of my bolts wasn't tight enough

I had a sound like that recently. Ended up being the strut bolt on the bottom side was two turns loose. No idea.

But that made my sound go away

I agree on the endlink comment.

I tried blue locktite but not strong enough need to get back under the car and see what red can do for me.

As others have said, it's the end links. I had this clunking issue a few months back and the bolts for the end links were a little loose. Tightened them right back up and the clunking has been gone ever since.

Lol yes I did. The Allen wrench looks similar to this and last time I tightened them I almost broke the Allen wrench because they were both spinning so I was about to break the wrench off the rest of them...

Everytime I go over a bump I feel like I'm in my old Lancer...lol

When an endlink is tight, it shouldn't continue to spin when attempting to tighten down more, would indicate that there is play in the threads, which may be your clunking.
