(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Does TR6 need to be installed upside down with JBR FMIC kit? I heard a rumor that the JBR piping with a TR6 required that the TR6 be installed upside down. any truth to that?

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I really dont want to bash anyone's company on here so I'll just let it go. But it didnt sound true to me since that kit seems to be really popular and I've never heard it before. I'm trying to decide between the JBR and Cx Racing piping kits. The price of the CX kit scares me

| Not Ranked : 0 score Because it's junk with 14 clamps and 7 couplers.

| Not Ranked : 0 score It really isn't junk, it does exactly what it's intended to do for the price it is at. Seems like most of the people who installed it and had problems, were probably installer error. I had mine on for about 15k miles, never once blew a coupler, never had a clamp fail/break/loosen, 21psi, and that was at least 7-8 times of taking things off and putting them back on for whatever it was I was doing at those moments.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I know originally when rpm did a group buy with the fmic kits, people who tried to use a tr6 with the treadstone piping kit had to mount it upside down for proper fitment. They probably got that confused. But to answer your question no you don't need to. It mounts perfectly fine normally

| Not Ranked : 0 score It's not junk, but it is also not the greatest. I have the original knockoff (Protege Garage-a modified Mazda3Mods kit-and that was junk) and fitment is ok. Tight, little to no leeway for movement. And a PIA to install. CX knocked it off after a few changes were made. I would rather have a kit that installs smoothly and is not a pain in the ass to keep from rubbing everything. Now there are lots of options. Best thing I did do so far (still want to replace the piping) is the TR8 and the JBR brackets. Just used the two for the FMIC core since I rerouted the PS cooler a different way from the rest 6 years ago. Eventually the FMIC piping will be swapped out though. Worried about it rubbing through in some places. I got rubber hoses in place now, but it is ridiculous, really. Also, if the TR6 was upside-down, I do not see the brackets working. Glad it's just a training issue. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I talked to RPM again and he's confused the JBR piping with the Treadstone piping. What confuses me now is how Treadstones own piping requires the core to be hung upside down.
