Very nice, I like it a lot. If I didn't already have something else to purchase, I would pick this up. If there happens to be any after christmas I will pick up the crash bar and piping kit.

What material tubing are you guys using for this? Like size and wall thickness?

Damn why the fuck does Mazda make cars different for other Countries. In Australia Gen2 2012 model had to use the 17mm and spacers on the inside, i will need to get some outside bolts to be 2.5 inch long with a 1.5 inch spacer.

@jbarone; might need to put a warning etc for overseas buyers that different length crash bar bolts will be needed for Overseas customers.

Or just buy from Murrica. Lol.

That install looks wrong. Those spacers are supposed to be on the outside holes while the inner ones are flush with the car. Also, if the holes don't align you could always get a drill and attempt to elongate the holes so you can shift the bar left to right.

The holes line up fine it's just too far away for the length of the outside bolts the bar is up flush against the radiator and bonnet latch brackets and they line up fine.
Our rear bumper bars are also smaller, the tailpipes on most USA aftermarket bolt on exhaust brands poke out.

What happens when you try and bolt it up without the inside spacers? Can you provide some better pictures. We've not been made aware of any issues until now. We have a lot of them on European cars so we need to see what all the differences are.

King Scumbag 05-27-2015 09:49 PM

@jbarone; have you thought of making a crash bar option for the larger cores?

Code Monkey 05-27-2015 10:03 PM

If you're planning to upgrade your intercooler to a TR8 then you need one of these to get it done right.
