Default Powerpath Stage 2 Review

Installed my JBR Stage 2 intake yesterday. Pics in this thread = Install Day

Install wasn't too bad and directions worked good. Needed the help of a friend for a few couplers because of my big ass arms not fitting in the engine bay. Part quality was a 10. Aside from silicone pipes being a pain (WD40 = must) the construction is very sturdy and the included clamps are awesome.

Car drives like a new machine. I love getting on it now and listening to that turbo spool. Pure sex.

Only complaint I have was that @jbarone gave me an extra mounting bracket in place of the "included" allen wrench.

Worked out good though, because one of the guys doing the install for me had a broken bracket for his Cobb SF and was missing a clamp so we used my extra clamp and bracket to get him hooked up.


EDIT - How can I forget the amazing tune that came with it from @Lex flash that last night and broke in the tune on the way from Corpus. When I got back to Victoria, I opened up on it and the car felt amazing. Will be doing Virtual Dyno pulls later in the week.

nice dude! cant wait till I get mine. can you post a direct over head pic of it installed with no angle. I'm trying to see if I can get a cold box to work from corksport or if I have to custom fab one.

I'll try to do that later. Lighting in my garage sucks. When I go out later, it should be no prob in the sunlight.

not exactly directly over but hopefully a little helpful. Btw this is my first power mod for the car and i love it, the car doesnt run out of grunt up high as bad anymore and a noticeable gain on the butt dyno. Looks great and the install was easy too.

That's a perfect shot dude. and I swear the exact same color combo im getting from jbr as well. I thought the black would look faded much more quickly and noticeably.

yeah for sure i was looking at the corksport one recently i really liked the setup i had on my miata and wanted something similar on the ms3

I may be bias but, I love the contrasts of the silicone with the black MAF housing, the colored MAF sensor adaptors and the filters. So much can be accomplished in the engine bay with all the choices we offer.

The Stage 2 is a pretty kick ass tune for free. Alex's Pro-tunes are sick.

Cant even run stage 1 till I get my ap and internals next month.

Im not even going to install my jbr sri-tip, boost tubes, bypass valve hose and 88 rmm till I get the ap and internals, the jbr stage 2 short shift plate kit and my su test pipe.

Then I will E-tune before mega nator meet, so the car will be very close to dialed in for the dyno and ill be able to tweek anything since the car will have already been tuned, and take full advantage of the dyno.

Hopefully I can make this a good sleeper and DD.

@Lex; , I don't know what it is, maybe its because I have a MAC but when i try do download any of your 07-08 MS3 JBR Maps off of your site, this is what I get. Any idea why?

what are people seeing on the dyno with the stage II 93 tune and powerpath stage II?

That worked thanks for the help. Now to gotta them onto the AP manager.

Pretty pumped to get back home to my Bin full of Brand New JBR parts. Hopefully sooner then later so I can get this power path installed and break in a Lex tune hopefully on my way up to the OCC Meet if we get home when they say where suppose to.
