500awhp build needs turbo

Ok people need a bit of help. Im going to break the 500awhp barrier I have everything but the turbo.

List of NEW Mods. (current mods in sig)
Wiseco Pistons
K1 Rods
CPE Mani
HTP 4 inch intake
HKS Twin Power
Tial 44mm waste gate
CPE Stage2 clutch
5th and 6th injectors
Speed Performance stage 2 cams
Crower 65lb Springs and retainers
Wilwood Big Brake Kit
Ok the problem is I can decide on a turbo. I was looking that the GTX 3576r and the PT 5858 and 5862

Turbo Compressor ind diameter Compressor exd diameter Turbine diameter HP

GTX3576R 58.00mm 76.60mm 68.00mm 400-600

PT5862 58.00mm 76.20mm 71.00mm 600-640

I see the numbers I understand the numbers but Ive been reading that the gtx will spool but still have it up top and the 5862 wont. But i know the EVo guys are saying the 5858 and 5862 will blow the GTX out of the water as far as faster spool and top end. Does anybody know if that is true? Will the bigger turbine on the 5862 spin it faster or cause lag? Will the 5858's smaller turbine diameter cause it to tap out on the top end. And also the GTX 3576r comes with a .82 a/r and the PT turbos only offer a .63 a/r. im looking for the mid to top end power as my redline should be 7500 or better with a P and P. I could use some real help. Please leave the smart ass comments to yourself im not a noob to cars just to mazdas im used to building hondas and evos and not having to put up with DI. THX in advance

have you looked into HTA turbos? Fast spool and a fair bit of top end. I love mine. The GTX35 will hit your goals no problem I think with the fuel.

Also, asking for help, and saying "no smart ass comments" while being brown is really not the way to go about it.

The 6266 is a gt 3582 equivalent right? Whats the spool characteristics?
Im trying to get the power in the middle and up top with minimal lag. The goal is to hit the target number without sacrificing the extra redline im going to pickup so i can hold peak boost longer. Not spool later and still only get 25-3000 rpm of full boost.

Best turbo for you is 5858 or 6262/66. The garrett 35xx turbo spools very slow and i promise that you will "hate" it.
Biggest garrett on our cars should be 3076

Yeah Jordan did try it. had some issues i need to hit him up and see if he fixed it or abandoned the project. As for the turbo I was leaning toward the 5862. Its air-cooled so ill have to run a pass thru for the water cooler. I heard the GTX turbos spool slow, My 3071r isn't bad i just wanna make sure i can hand these mustang owners around here there asses on a consistent basis.

I run the 5862 and it is by far the best decision I made. Spools pretty damn quick and has the room up top.

The guy who made the twin k04 setup was selling it, don't know if he still its. IIRC it needed a balance tube because it was having surge issues

You said you have the CP-e mani. The flange on that will dictate which turbo brand you go for. Unless you have not ordered it yet.

Of the three turbos you listed, I would go with the 5862. You will easily make 500+ with a good tune.

I beg to differ.

My speed3 had a FP HTA3582 and made 30psi by 3900rpm.

A 35r will spool just fine, with a tuner that knows what to do.

The guy who has the 700whp 6 is running them, I called speed performance to see what the specs were and there pretty much 264/256 with a bowl port and springs and retainers there saying you could see a 8k redline

Ok so Im going 5862. The car goes in the shop next month just waiting on the driveshaft shop stage 3.5 rear axels. My oil lines are kosmic designed for the PTE turbo. More to follow once bild and dyno is complete.

@Bishop9d4; Don't do the 5862!!! I swear the 5858 rips more!!! IMHO, the high hp 5862 cars don't look that fast to me, or at least not as fast as I would imagine. 5858's seem noticeable faster. My 5858 rips ass at 32psi and tons more room for more power. I should be a tad over 500hp @ 32psi, planning on running 35 with more meth and a jmf manifold

I am at 458 awhp and 385 awtq on a mustang Dyno on a 5862 on 28-29 lbs and 17 degrees of timing 50/50 e85/91.

The 5862 seems to have more higher end. I am also on a JMF manifold and 6th port.

The 5862 is a sick turbo.

Not that vd is the shit but I am running 500whp with 17* timing and 30psi on the 5858. Not hating on you guys, just seen some on Youtube and was not impressive looking. I think I'm gonna run her at the track tonight. 32psi and 1.5* timing. No JMF manifold either yet, just waiting on it to show up.

Vdyno has me around 520AWHP on the same exact setup that I ran a 458 on the dyno. Dyno operator also didn't run me out to redline in my runs.

The GTX3076 is in a similar range to the PTE 5858 and 5862 in terms of compressor flow.

The GTX3076 has the same compressor as the GTX3576 and out of those two definitely choose the 3076 for spool and response.

Even on a Mazda hotside with IWG which is quite small the GTX3076 will break 500whp on a FWD. If you get a nicer flowing hotside and EWG you will get your goals with this turbo.

The PTE turbos are very capable as well and as mentioned are in a similar power ballpark. Out of the two I would choose the 5862 as it has a bit more top end and with the Speed6 you load the motor more and spool earlier than a Speed3

Im looking for the top end with the springs and retainers my red line will be past 7k. Also im seeing the 5862 hitting full boost by 43-4500 and with the built bottom and cams i can hold it to red line. and with a 50/50 93/e85 combo 500 willbe 2 ez. But if Tacoma has 94 oct like im hearing the retune on 50/50 is going to be even better.

Now new question. Does anybody have a copy of a stock map so I can unmarry my AP and install the V3 my comp crashed and I lost mine.

For those who care that was in this post. THANK YOU!!! I did the 5862 and the shyt is real. Starts spooling at 2300 full boost at 3800 holding 27.5 psi to redline. Was about to dyno but during the inspection we found that the stock injectors studs were used so we have to replace them. So im replacing the entire fuel system to go E85 4 new injectors autotech internals and a dw300. More to fiollow
