Default Anyone Running Stock Internals? 350+

So I was wondering how many of you are actually running a big turbo build still on stock internals. I have about 3 1/2 grand put aside for my build. I want to run a GT3076, FMIC, TIP, Fuel pump internals, with a Cobb Acessport. I hoping to get those for 3.5k
I already have the CAI and DP. But im worried Im going to damage my internals... I cant decide if i want to wait untill I have 4.5k saved up to get pistons and rods.

So who is actually running stock internals pushing 350+whp? From what I have been hearing thats about the breaking point most people hit with stock...

And would it be a bad idea to run this turbo build with the stock internals, and just keep the turbo around 18-20psi.. untill I can put in forged internals?

My bet is 350 ish is safe for stock internals. Over 400 an it's touch and go. I know there are tons of people on stock internals and ~350.

You are not damaging the fuel pump... You just reach its flow limit

not worried about damaging the fuel pump. But I assume running a big turbo build... my fuel pressure is gonna drop to like 900... :-( cant have that

my only worry is really bending a rod pushing ~350~

Once you get pump internals, your pressure will hold strong.

they start bending when your tune starts sucking. detonation, low rpm high cyl pressure and unchecked boost (hi boost on stock map sensor for example) kills engines.

I say around 380 to 415 on a very solid tune will last decent miles. Im running a gt3076 so just look at my thread time to time. When i get done with my tune i will post vdyno numbers and you can get an idea.

I also have been told that keep up with your maintenance and you will be good to go.

And one more thing, you really want have to worry about load down low as in full boost on a reg 3076r will be around 3800 to 4000rpm.

I wouldn't push over 400whp on my own ms3 on the stock internals. When my oem turbo goes, I will replace it with either a bnr 1 or bnr 3, amd maybe push a max of 350whp.

So pretty much below 2000 rpm 100% throttle is what the main reason for rod carnage is from? Why don't Mazda use stronger rods? Genone & genpu both?

I had stock internals and dynoed 380 whp with a gt3076 drop in, it ran fine. After adding timing and e85, a rod shot out through the back of the block and another piece of it through the oil pan. I guess 380 was good haha.

Because it would most likely push the price up to more than they are willing to sell it for. It fits into a nice niche segment at the current price, and that is Mazda's goal.

400 seems to be the breaking point. However, @superskaterxes was pushing 430+ for a while before his went boom.

I am assuming you have a ms6, if so i would have been happy with 380 awhp.

On a ms3 i still believe around 400 is a decent spot to be around.

There was another guy with stock internals pushing like 500+whp at 30PSI with some E85 mix (dturbo I think was his nickname). But this discussion is only about numbers, and pretty much all the people think only about more power when start tuning and ditch comfort, drivability and reliability in the closet.
If you're concerned about your stock rods I'd say to consider a more efficient setup with a 3071 turbo or similar. 3076 spools too late (3800-3900'ish) and you will run out of RPM's just when starting to make good power. A 3071 spools around 3200-3400 (mine spools around 3350), so you'll still be in the safe area with better driveability.
If you switch to forged and lighter rods then a 3076 or a gt35 makes much more sense IMHO.

Any mazdaspeed making over 400 whp on a stock block is on borrowed time It's only a matter of time before it pops. I'm lucky that's all there is to it.

And would it be a bad idea to run this turbo build with the stock internals, and just keep the turbo around 18-20psi.. untill I can put in forged internals?
i was running that setup almost exactly but with a catless dp etc and was making about 350awhp so about 400 crank and it was running like a champ

The idea was more like, why have only 2.5k rpm to play with when you can have 3k or more? On stock rods you're going to limit the boost at some point anyway, and both these turbo's can boost up to that point in the last 3rd (at least) of the rev range.

Oh you'll need my EWG manifold if you want to run boost that low on a 3076... Otherwise you'll creep to 24-25 psi.
