Default Anyone Want THIS Big Turbo?
Saw this at the US Air Force Museum in Dayton, OH the other day. It's the turbocharger that was put on the Liberty 12 aircraft engine. And to give you some perspective on how far the internal combustion engine has come, this V12 engine was originally produced with 400HP, and this ginormous turbo boosted that up to a whopping 443HP. We have guys producing that much HP on one-third the cylinders on this forum (bhp, of course).

Call the firestone tech and see if he has an intercooler big enough so no hot air goes into the turbo

lol @ the 43hp gain from that thing in the OP, haha. I think Fred Flintstone had the same turbo when he went through his mid life crisis.
