ATP 3071GTX Blanket

I decided to switch after talking to JP at EdgeAutosport. I'm going to forgo the BNR Stage 3 and go with the 3071GTX kit, which I ordered the other day. Been reading a lot of threads to get up to speed. I really want to keep temps down underhood. I've looked at a number of different turbo blankets but can't make a decision really. For the guys that have them on the ATP turbos, which one did you go with and did you have to modify it since we are using an internal WG?

I'm going to use the factory exh manifold for now, has anyone used header wrap on it?

Any advice would be appreciated....

they're pretty much all the same. I wouldn't header wrap the stock manifold, just use OEM heat shields is fine. I did silicone paint my stock manifold a little bit.

if anything, get the turbine housing swain coated, and header wrap the downpipe.

Just use the stock manifold heat shield. Due to the location of my t-bolt clamps I cut a little metal off the stock heat shield so it fit perfect.

DJ sold me my blanket it fits great and its cheap. Ask him

A t3 turbo blanket doesn't fit cleanly over an IWG housing because the WGA rod gets in the way and so does the stock oil feed. I tried putting my t3 blanket on my k04 and it was pretty awkward. It will still help, just won't cover the whole housing.
