Just wanted to put this out there for what it's worth. I inquired to ATP about the IWG boost creep issues on a fully bolted car and below is what they replied.

It's been a year now since we revised our turbos to eliminate boostcreep on modified engines. All turbos are configured this way so you don't have to worry about this when you order.

now if this is true the next big question for me is.....can I tune that bitch with my AP? Mo air means mo load means....who knows???

DJ...were you trying to tune a 3076 a few months back that was total fail with the AP?

I already know I have an ECU with a load cap so I may be fucked!

If you currently have neither. Go SB. Nothing to lose. We know the AP has limits. Of that there is no doubt.

Cp-e................ So lets say im making 291 whp-mustang dyno on 17 psi AP tune. Power mods currently-

Cobb AP
Cobb Intake
Cobb Downpipe
ETS 3.5 TMIC

So Im thinking of 350-400 whp on a bigger turbo. Stock Internals......What turbo setup should I go with. I would be running SB as well. Bottom line is If I can safely achieve the numbers I want with a set of mod list that in your professional opinion would best suit my needs, Then im all about it. Thank you.

Get a real t3 3076. Do not get an atp 3076. Get it with a .82 a/r back housing.

Meaning get 1 directly from Garrett?...Also what downpipe would work best? Or do I spend the extra money and make Garrett custom make it so the stock bellmouth fitment works?

You can order it from atp. Just don't get the ATP mazdaspeed flanged gt series turbo.

Get a t3 .82 3076. As for downpipe you can really use any. For example if you already have ours just have a local welding shop cut off the belmouth and weld on teh proper 4 bolt outlet.

if your going that route get a vband outlet on turbo and vband dp make your life easier.

I got a list of engine rebuild&machine shops in Washington..Gonna call around to see about installing forged internals. i got 16k miles now, whats the chance that Ill need my cylinders honed for the pistons?..also stay with stock compression or lower? Whats best for a 400 whp setup on this car.

Easiest and cheapest is keeping stock compression. You don't have to resurface the cylinders if you don't need to. The machine shop will let you know once they rip it apart

if your from washington you might as well go to PTP as they know this car and the motor really well and ive never heard anything bad about their machine work. they are a vendor on here but give them a call or PM anyway.

ATP is porting my older version that I never put on the car. They say they machine port them, not hand port them and it fixes the issue with creep. The issue with creep only came about with cpe WOT flash and then with the Cobb AP. So figure I will just get them to port it (free) and throw it on without having to spend all the $ on EWG. I however am still scared and may still wait to build the engine if I could come up with the money...but got to save for the wedding now...bla!

I cant even find the 3071 on the ATP website. I almost want to just ahve them exchange it for a different exhaust housing and get new flanges welded onto my mani and DP. Iduno.

I always have high hopes for these big turbo builds but it makes me a bit sad to see "Cobb AP" in the signature line. I really hope you get big numbers but I know that the AP is limited to under 400 whp :/ so I hope you're not dissapointed with your results on thursday. Good luck nonetheless man!

who is dynoing thursday?

cagey vet is a good person to ask. he has had both tuning solutions. now he's running the standback and making ALOT more power.
