(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  Big turbo G1 MS3 takes on 2014 Stingray I have a fully bolted 2007 MS3, including GTX 3071R turbo, meth inject, running 25% E85. Dyno'd at 409 hp. Have 128 K miles on the car. A friend bought a 2014 Corvette Stingray with auto trans and wanted to race. Got on the 101 freeway side by side going about 60 mph. I started in 4th gear and took off and didn't see him. Turns out that he thought that I was not going to accelerate so fast and he was planning to blow me by. He also said that after he got on it, the car bogged for some reason. On the second attempt, we remained side by side and we were dead even. In both races traffic got in the way and we had to end it. Not sure if I got into 6th gear or not or what rpms I was hitting. Not sure how fast we were going... to much adrenaline and eyes stuck on the road. Of course he would beat me from a dead stop, and his engine will hold up longer than mine. But I'm never going to race him again. I'm taking it as a win and I'm rubbing it in every chance I get. |
