(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score 1) To attach the wastegate to the turbo and downpipe, I am assuming you take the large metal o-ring and place it inside each end of the wastegate. Then attach the appropriate ends, wrap the clamp around the lips (so wrap the clamp around the turbo lip and the wastegate lip pressed together) and then tighten it down. 2) What is this little piece for? It is hollow all the way through and has a weird looking washer. 3) What vacuum lines do I connect to the wastegate? It is a tial 38mm MVS with two side air ports, 2 side water ports, and 1 top air port. The old wastegate actuator had a line from the ebcs and the turbo. This new turbo does not have a place to attach a vacuum line so does it base the pressure of the turbo from the bottom of the wastegate? If so do I just connect the one air line to the ebcs, block off the remaining side ports and VTA the top? Also there is one hose coming off the ebcs that is just open to the air, is this correct? Thanks for the help! |

| Not Ranked : 0 score 2 and 3 are related. 2 is quick tap boost source for turbo - intercooler hose, 3 is answered once you install that and find instructions on how to connect the EBCS.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Thank you soul survivor, this was what I was missing! And yes I did research, I was planning on an IWG setup and at the last minute decided to go EWG since boost creep seemed to be a recurring issue with the IWG kits. This is my first turbo vehicle so I am still learning a few things. |

1) Yes. 2) Tap for your boost source. Punch a hole in the silicone coupler coming off the turbo, push it through (from the inside out), place the nut and clip on the outside. The vac line for "boost Source" attaches here 3) Follow the directions for your EBCS. It'll explain how to connect to EWG
