cant wait to see some respectable #'s and safe tune.I see both you and Brian running the PG ewg mani, does that really fix the boost creep issue with the Gt series turbos?

| Not Ranked : 0 score I'm so close I can taste it! Still need to... reconnect motor mount install screen filter test fit everything once again possibly modify downpipe coat/bake manifold install manifold install EGT gauge/probe install wg modify dump pipe install dump pipe install ic double check belt tension charge/install battery refill oil/antifreeze The list seems pretty long, but it's really not too bad. If I weren't hung up on the motor mount last night, I would've gotten about half of that done. It sucks trying to install shit with broken fillangies |

an ATP GT35r thats made for our cars comes with a .50 A/R compressor housing. the "real" T3 gt35r comes with a "real" .70 A/R compressor housing BUT it doesnt fit on our stock placement manifold like the ATP one does. if you buy ATP GT35r it will fit, if you buy a T3 35r it does come with .70 A/R but you will need a custom manifold to make it work. again I have a ATP 35R for sale. if you're looking for more power on stock block ATP is the way to go honestly althought CP-E and everyone else will tell you to go T3 there is NO point in doing this if you are not built and mot looking to make some BIG numbers. CP-E is more then right that the T3 is way better then the ATP but it's much easier to just use ATP.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I agree with Sixxx, t3 is preferred but if you're like myself and are not trying to go for 500whp, the atp turbo will do just fine.. and it will end up costing you half of the money and a tenth of the time. If I were to go back and do it over I would have probably just gotten an atp 35r |

I am excited to tune anyone. All opinions aside of a company - the t4 turbo you picked is too large for this car. A t3 housing would have been much better suited. We can make power but its going to be a dyno queen type of power. The ATP turbos will not flow the amount of air required to hit what the t3 counterparts are known to make. 35r's are for 500-600whp. 3076 is for 450-500. 3071 is for 390-440. The ATP versions of these turbos will have less peak numbers as a result of the size of the back housing.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Here is an update for everyone. Did a pull at 21psi today with my ritard ATP housing. And let me just say that this thing fuckin hammers. Jake is tuning this for me as we speak. Cant wait to see what he can do. AS soon as it's done being tuned I'm going to the same dyno I went to last time. Let the fun begin. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score haha don't judge me you two. I wAntz teh big turbo, I don't know why but I do. maybe I'll change my mind down the road, but from driving the car the little that I have, I am in love. I really don't see the powerband being a problem.. it spooled a lot quicker than I expected |

the thing is, the kid asked if a 35r would fit in stock placement. yes it does, from ATP. If you have a stock block and you don't plan on making huge numbers and you want a fast simple un bolt and bolt on turbo solution then the ATP IS THE WAY TO GO no doubt about it. IMO it is wrong to try and steer all away from the ATP turbos just cause the T3's make more peak power. not everyone is trying to max out their turbo. no disrespect Jake, that was like the 5th time ive seen you just mention how the T3 is better then the ATP for this and that reason but what was asked was will a specific turbo fit in STOCK location and sorry brah, but T3 just doesnt fit that bill without spending more money. much love Jakey Jake. no hate

| Not Ranked : 0 score We have already hit 450whp. Shop cars just don't get advertised as they are typically just for testing. Speedsixxx - you're right - it won't fit in stock location but enough of the "stock location stuff" - have a manifold made so that you guys who are going big turbo can actually make the numbers they should make. Who cares if it sits 1/2" different than stock location. Your pistons and rods aren't in stock location in anymore. They are in some box somewhere because the stock setup sucked!!! |

| Not Ranked : 0 score i'm just sick and tired of this "big power" yet there's no legitimate proof of one. 450whp isn't even all that powerful.

450whp is considered big on this platform as no one else has been able to achieve it. The only reason more hasn't been accomplished is because we haven't had anyone with a turbo bigger than a 3076 (and t3 not ATP) get on a dyno. Currently there are a few out there. Many people still run ATP turbos which just won't make the big numbers. A few customers have true T3 gt series turbos and once they are ready to tune I will have them running what ever numbers their turbos can support. The second there is a real t3 turbo on a customers car ready to be tuned I will post up the big numbers. Till then huff and puff. I am not here to BS or drag shit out. I am here to help people who aren't full of shit and wan't big power to make it. It requires the flashes, the standback (pnp optional), and a turbo that can actually flow (.78 or bigger a/r turbine housing would be nice). The .55 ATP turbos will make decent power but a .55 a/r turbine housing on a 3076 will NOT make the 450-475 that a 3076 is known to make. Dizzin - you are in NC. If you are running a big turbo - bring it up - I will do your flashes, sb install, tune for free. Now if its an ATP don't expect to make power in the 450+ range but I will make the power those turbos are capable of flowing. Once you see it in front of you and drive the car - then we can settle a bill. Whining won't get you anywhere. If you want to see the numbers do something about it. Make your car fast.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I said if he brought me a setup that is capable of making power i would tune him for free. THEN when the session is over we will put together a bill for him to pay. Essentially saying that if it doesnt make the power id flash him back to stock and he can go his merry way. The point is a 2871 can't make big numbers regardless of the tuning. It can only flow so much air to make so much power. The atp turbos can only flow so much air because of their small back housings. As a result they will not make the power that their t3 counter parts are known to make. |
