Default From Blown to maybe BT HELP PLEASE!

So recently my 2007 Mazdaspeed6 shot a rod through the bottom of its own block (you can find the thread here http://www.mazdaspeedforum.org/forum/foru...ort-log-90038/) The ms6 is my only mode of transportation and I am at the point now where i need to decide on the path I must take, for every day I am without a vehicle it is costing me MUUUULAH!

I am here to ask for help on a reasonable DD BT build to my used motor I am about to purchase. I have been looking at various kits from streetunit, but really have no clue what it all really means. It would mean so much to me if this wonderful community can answer some of the questions I have listed below.

1) Should I forged any part of my motor? If so what parts? (Rods, Pistons, etc..)
2) What turbo should i go with? and Why?
- If you can provide a link to the part that would be awesome!
3) Will my existing 3" CPE Catted DP work with it?
4) Will I need any additional parts to make this work with my 2007 Mazdaspeed6?
- If you can provide a link to the part that would be great!

I know this is a lot to ask for and I should really be reading up. But at the moment I just don't have the time since work is a 1 hour commute each way ( and even longer by BART and then a 2 mile bike ride). I guess if anyone decides to help this can act as a cheat sheet for me and the rest of the community scared to go BT.

My Current Engine Mods:

Cobb AP
MS CAI
Autotech Internals
3" CPE Catted DP
Sure RMM
Sure Anchors

Thanks again.!

I don't know too much about BT stuff as I've never read too deeply into it since I don't plan on doing it. With that being said, I'll impart some wisdom before people who actually know wtf they're talking about come in.

1) People are running 450 hp on stock internals. So there's no reason why you can't rebuild stock, but since you're doing it already, it wouldn't hurt to do it right.

2) I don't know specifics. I know a lot of people are running the garrett 3076. Good compromise between spool and power if I recall correctly. DO A SEARCH ON THIS SHIT.

3) I know some of the bt can mount up to the standard dp. Not sure which. (again, search)

4) all the associated parts. ewg, oil lines, big inlet, etc

I know one of the vendors on here was offering BT all you need packages. I can't remember who it was though.

Hope this shit helps. Take it with a grain of salt though.

+1 building a motor and going bt will take some time. You'll be rocking a rental for weeks to months especially since it sounds like you don't have the know how or tools to do the work yourseflt.

If you can find and source a long block soon that would be the best way to go right now.
