Default BNR S3 V2 pre-install questions

Whats up guys,

I am getting ready for two S3 beaner installs, one on my car and one on my brothers. I've been digging through the install threads and I have a question about the coolant return line (the one that feeds back to the egr). In all the threads I've read, including @Ziggo;s and @atvfreek;s threads, they show a return line being made from heater hose, but on the bnr that I've received it comes with what appear to be an oem style coolant return line. At least that is what it appears to be based on trying it out on the turbo in various locations.

Also, in most of the bnr s3 v2 threads I see that the wastegates have two nipples, where as the new on I got has only one like the original bnr s3 turbos had. Any idea what the reason was for this? I imagine it was for ease of tuning, just trying to make sure I wont need to install any restrictor pills or anything like that.

Thanks a lot

The coolant return line should work like a stock return line, except it should be bent in such a way that it fits around the turbo without modification. If yours does not do this, then you should contact BNR for an appropriately bent line.

The dual nipple WGA was phased out due to what I believe was a large amount of requests by customers for a single port with an unrestricted compressor tap for the ease of 3port boost controller hookup.

I just did this a month ago. The supplied coolant line works (did for me). It will just be turned closer to the wastegate actuator from where you have it. I bought fancy hose after reading the how to's and ended up not using it.

As long as you have a 3 port EBCS you only need the one nipple.

You can tee-off the line and use a bleed setup just fine with the one port too. the problem with two ports is the other one gets capped on 3 port setups and that cap has a tendency to fail, which WILL blow your motor without quick reaction and/or a safety device.

I'm assuming you're talking about the coolant line? I just had it sitting on there for reference, got both of them installed tonight without too much fail. Thanks for the answer guys.
