Default BNR S5 on Ms6

I've been out of the game for years.

But I'm back and want an S5. Who's installed one into a MS6? I don't see any builds online but the turbo hasn't been out long. Maybe I'm missing something.
I'm concerned about the wastegate interfering with the transfer case.
Looking to buy this weekend (black friday sales) so I'm hoping to get a "it'll be fine" from someone. Thanks

Well, I ordered it. I guess I'll find out how it all fits.
I can't be the only one with an MS6 and S5 build. Or did I just post in the wrong place..

You should fine, it says it fits both the mazdaspeed3 and 6. So I assume the wg flange is in a spot where it clears the transfer case. Worst case scenario you can get a 90* angled wg flange and slap it on the hot side to clear the transfer case, or run a ew manifold.

Thanks for the response. I'll be working on the car soon, now that the holidays are over. The engine is already out (built engine going in).

not trying to hijack, how hard is to pull the engine on ms6? pulling out mine in 2 days, i had experience pulling out ms3 motors but not ms6 yet,

also any reason you went s5? my friend with his ms3 used ebay log style top mount manifold $75 , ebay turbo gt35 size $500 (boostedbois @ youtube proven it to made 700) and turbo smart wastegate $100 locally he spent less than $800 and made 550, spools 20psi at 4300-4500 tho and need to have custom DP, car still running till now with new owner

It's about a 3 hour job if you have a lift. I work on Mazdas everyday, and they mostly all come out the same way. (really, most cars are this way not just Mazda)
From the bottom. Remove subframe, and lift the car off of the powertrain which sits on a rolling table. If you don't have the luxury of a lift, you're best off removing the front clip (including the core support) and using a cherry picker to pluck the powertrain out that way.
Also, remember to have the AC evacuated. No reason to put that stuff out into the atmosphere.

I went S5 because I wanted 500 awhp and I like BNR basically.. the money is what it is.

I see yeah, I don't have any lift and will be using cherry picker, I was reading you can pull it out at top too without removing the front end which I never did, since ms3 we always remove front end but I'm wondering since it doesn't have the subframe, prolly going to be hard for me lol

Ive removed the rad cradle and related components and also removed the subframe when I did my clutch, both on just jack stands. It would be easy to lower the whole drivetrain onto a wooden frame with casters and roll everything out the front. About the only thing proving to be a pain would be getting around the main harness stretched across the front.

Thanks for the tips guys I'm gonna try the front end method, just remove whole front end and pull it from the front, never pulled a subframe yet so I'll see how it goes,

I'm very sorry for hi jacking the thread

I've pulled mine a few times without removing anything from the front end. Definitely remove the cowl panel though. Yes, it's a tight squeeze, but it fits.

Ha! Idk how many times I read your tips on pulling it out, gotta find that thread again, I'll try the top method if I can, even with the front end pull out method it still a tight squeeze since engine can rock lol and the harness that goes across is hazard

F-that with evacuating the AC and then having to refill it when it's all together again ($$$).

If you are one of the few with AC delete...yank it out the front, no question, all day, every day. With exception of that harness stretching across the front, there's nothing in the way.

I plan on using Justin (freek) for e-tuning like I did back in the day. Not sure if there is even an AWD dyno in Jacksonville at all. Probably in Orlando.. if I decide to go on some rollers I'll post it here for sure.
