(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  Brace/options for mounting aftermarket turbo The GT3071 weighs a lot more than the stock K04...I want to throw it in but I'm worried about it hanging off the PG v3 mani eventhough it's already got extra bracing itself. My understanding is that the turbo will just hang straight off the mani which is bad and contributes to cracking... What are the options of bracing the turbo? Custom brace?

| Not Ranked : 0 score If you have a bar of some sort welded from the turbo flange to the head flange, that would provide a lot of support. Take a look at the Race Roots manifold.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Oh, dude, that's super reinforced. I couldn't see that thing cracking from weight unless the welds were the shittiest on the planet. If you want to support the turbo a tiny bit more, have a bar welded from the left part of the head flange to the turbo flange. That thing has more bracing than I've seen on a lot of other manifolds I've seen and they don't crack.
