No difference.

Just checked everything. Took the pan and valve cover. The noise went away for a brief minute, but as soon as it warmed up the ticking returned. I think it has to do with VVT because once oil pressure\temp increases the noise returns. I'm lost tbh

Sounds like it's coming from the timing chain area. Purchased a new oil control valve, should be in tomorrow. Cross your fingers!

Just an update, the timing chain is loose. Found marks on the inside of the valve cover from contact. Just missed them the first time through. I'll be purchasing a new chain and actuator in the next couple days. Been crazy busy with finals so the car has been just sitting around for the past 2 weeks.

Any reason to purchase anything more than the crank bolt, actuator and chain? Motor has ~30k on build

Just a little update..

Took off the TC and looks like the tensioner failed. Parts will be here tomorrow so cross your fingers!!

On other news, here's some future plans:
-Switch out the shitty push fittings for the meth.
-Purchase a controller from Splitsecond for the meth.
-Switch to Versatune.
-Install headunit that can be utilized for gauges.
-purchase the rest of the shit I need for custom coils.

At the moment, I'm consistently make ~500whp @ 7k Elevation (Flagstaff AZ). Hopefully will be producing high 500s to 600 at sea level!!
