Just checked everything. Took the pan and valve cover. The noise went away for a brief minute, but as soon as it warmed up the ticking returned. I think it has to do with VVT because once oil pressure\temp increases the noise returns. I'm lost tbh Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk | |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Just an update, the timing chain is loose. Found marks on the inside of the valve cover from contact. Just missed them the first time through. I'll be purchasing a new chain and actuator in the next couple days. Been crazy busy with finals so the car has been just sitting around for the past 2 weeks. (Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Just a little update.. Took off the TC and looks like the tensioner failed. Parts will be here tomorrow so cross your fingers!! On other news, here's some future plans: -Switch out the shitty push fittings for the meth. -Purchase a controller from Splitsecond for the meth. -Switch to Versatune. -Install headunit that can be utilized for gauges. -purchase the rest of the shit I need for custom coils. At the moment, I'm consistently make ~500whp @ 7k Elevation (Flagstaff AZ). Hopefully will be producing high 500s to 600 at sea level!! |
