(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I originally owned a genjuan ms3, and planned on going BT/stock motor on it. As time went by, I realized that even with a gtx3071r, it would be too much for the platform (For me). This led me to looking for a MS6... Luckily a local socal nator member was looking to sell his built motor ms6. I offered him my 08 speed3 and the rest is history! So onto the build: As of now, the car has, -.020 over wiseco pistons -Pautter H-Beams -ARP head and main studs -Balance Shaft Delete -Fully ported head -ACT 6-Puck -AWR PMM and RMM -White line RSB -SURE Rear Diff mounts -Magnaflow Catback -SafeSeals -PTP Rail Valve -Autotechs -v6 Tein H springs (Stink) -Tokico Blues (Blown) I just purchased a PnP CP-E Exhaust Mani (Vband), about to pick up some Koni Yellows/SpeedDaddy Springs. I will be trading my MS3 headunit for a custom 4inch (ID) intake. What I need: -Precision turbo 6062 -Ported Stock intake -6th port -VBand DP -4 bar and kit -3-port EBCS -Oil lines for turbo -FMIC setup (Tr10) Crash bar is already cut -Meth kit -44mm EWG -EWG Dump tube -SpeedDaddy Springs -Transfer case Bearing caps I might be forgetting some stuff, please let me know if I am! I'm taking all opinions on the build, I still have a lot to learn. Will be posting pics! Thanks guys, John Last edited by I_AINT_RICE; 12-02-2015 at 01:26 PM. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score What are your power goals? That will make it easier for us to make turbo suggestions. Also just to double check... you got the precision vband cpe mani right? There's also the tial vband option.

I plan on around 600 awhp. I know the stock fuel system is going to be the restriction on this build. I'm going back and forth if I wanna run the stock system for a little then move to PI or just go straight to PI. But regardless it will be seeing more fueling in the future. And yes it's a precision vband

| Not Ranked : 0 score 6262 should definitely get you there. Bill just hit 540 on a 5862 at 29psi. I'm assuming that could be cranked up some more so MAAAAYBE a 5862 can but a 6262 definitely should. You will absolutely need the extra fueling so once you get that turbo on, might as well have the PI ready to go. Your tuner can work step by step with you on that I'm sure.

5862 is rated @ 640awhp, and that is underrated. 6262 @ 675. I have heard great things about any of those turbos lol. I personally am gonna run 5858 .82 hotside. Should easily pull 550-600hp with some pi and supporting mods; and quicker spool

I'm very familiar with Ford push rod v8's (stroked 302, 351, and 460's). The 460 was always the toughest to deal with. Anytime you went to the drags, something would break. I plan on running the MS6 twice a month down in Phoenix. Given the fact that it's a 150 mile drive from Flagstaff, I would like to be able to drive home hahaha. But that is something to think about. I didn't know the 5862 carried that much potential!

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Local Nator member reminded me that I will need to do the Tcase bearing caps. I plan on replacing these when I pull the turbo. On other news, I just order the Konis today and expect to see them next week sometime! Plan on running some SpeedDaddy spring (Ebay) on the fact that they have near identical spring rate to Autoexe [IMG] |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score And a little update... I didn't completely understand the difference between 6th port and a complete PI set up. I honestly didn't know a 6th port set up was considered Aux fueling hahaha. Regardless, I plan on running 6th port with a port matched stock intake Thanks, John |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Just a little update for anyone that's following the build. I've been busy with finals and won't start work again until the 18th of May. At which point, I will be spending every paycheck i acquire hahaha. I have a local AZ Nator member that will be building a full 4 inch intake for me, which I expect to be purchasing in the next coupe of weeks. Other than that, the first thing I will likely purchase is the tr10 and CXracing 2.5 piping. Thanks guys! John |

Too bad I'll be moving back home for summer, we need to meet up next semester! And further news, master cylinder is pooping out on me.. I have to pump the clutch every so often to keep line pressure up. Not sure if it's master or slave so I just ordered both and the SS line from edge auto. After i make the 500+ drive home without the clutch pedal I'll be installing it hahahaha. Wish me luck!

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Just another update, I'm home and had to fix a few things. The clutch assembly cracked, which was causing a lot of the issues. Need to still install the SS clutch line but everything is working well. I'll be starting work next week so i should be getting money pretty soon. Also, a friend of mine is paying me to help pull apart his evo, so should be good side money. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Update: -Purchasing a 4" HTP Intake tonight because the custom one fell through. Unfortunately, I don't trust another 51r to get me through the cold ass winters we get in Flagstaff. I'll be relocating my battery to the trunk. Pulled up the NHRA handbook and will be using it as a checklist. I'll post pics of the relocation set up for anyone who is interested. -SS Clutch line made a huge difference. -I might be picking up a 2nd trans (With the JDM gear set) to rebuild, bad 2nd gear syncro. Hitting 60 mph in 2nd sounds pretty nice to me. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score A little update.... -The Battery relocation kit was crap from Jegs. Box was oversized and was missing multiple pieces. I returned it and just purchased a yellow top 51r. -HTP 4" Intake is on and I'm still cleaning up the MAF. -Ordered a TR1035 intercooler and expect to see it early next week. -I'll be doing a custom set up with the pipes (Using other's designs) -Going to do a compression/Leak down test when I pull the stock TMIC off -Also searching for a cheap stock intake mani so I can just home port it. At the same time I plan on doing a wire tuck. [IMG] [/IMG] |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score UPDATE: RPM is having a sale for the 4th so I'm just going to purchase a CXRacing pipe kit. I've been trying to figure out if its gonna fit with the TR1035 but couldn't find anything. It should plug right up correct? It's the same length as the tr8 just taller. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Sorry, been super busy at work but have gotten a lot done. Car now has a M2 Downpipe and a TR1035 with cxracing piping. Made some custom brackets to hold the intercooler core. Measured everything out cut the steel, cherried and quenched it in water. Worked out really well! Picture attached. Cut out all the blocked out holes in the top of the grill with a razor blade and heat gun. Not much was need to use the CXracing pipe kit. Just need 3"-2 1/2" adapters and a 45 degree 2.5" elbow. I'm in the middle of getting the car tuned for 91 and e85. Will be picking up bits a pieces for the BT set up if I find good deals. If anyone has any questions, let me know! |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Moar updates.... Went to the dragstrip a couple of weeks ago and was pretty damn disappointed in the times. It was about 85-90 degrees and humidity was around 85%. Only got two runs both at 14.3 @ 97. Cut a 2.0 60'. I could care less about the ET, I was just upset about the trap speed. There was two other ms6's there that night running similar times, and it seemed just about everyone was running slow. Just was expecting at least a 105ish trap. Been lagging on picking up parts, still deciding between finishing the build or selling the car for a Fox body or 03/04 mach 1. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score A little update: Decided to keep the car. I've been reading quite a bit about suspension, ECU tuning, etc. Recently started tuning myself. Dropped my 60-100 time by over a second. At 7,000ft I'm obtaining consistent 7-6.9 second 60-100 times. The tune is pretty damn aggressive (2.3 load at 3k) but its definitely fun! Still picking up pieces for the BT setup whenever I see deals. Car has a pretty bad Oil pan leak, so as long as everything goes as plan, I'll be re-sealing the pan, throwing in transfer case endcaps, and a new friction disc on for the 6-puck by winter break. Suspension wise, I've been speaking to Clint pretty consistently about custom coilovers on the ms6. He's been a HUGE help and has allowed me to better understand how to properly assess the weaknesses of a platform and how to better it. I'll be utilizing my Koni Yellow inserts instead of the Bilsteins Clint's running. I'll make another thread on the coilovers once all my part come in. Also, its winter in flag!
