I think that is where some the issues you are describing are coming from.

If you feel you are creeping some, you shouldn't be registering any WGDC.

Sorry forgot to put in, running mbc. So wgd's are of no concern. If no one chimes in on my other thread I'm just gonna start experimenting with throttle tables around 5000+ rpm's and 2.0 load and see if I can reduct creep that way.

I believe the combination of the 3 inch MAF with a catless DP is helping your boost creep situation.

I saw you ported your waste-gate in a few ways.
Assuming you also increased the size of the WG hole to within a few mm to the size of the flapper - I couldn't really tell from the pics.

Naw, there wasnt any creep throughout the tuning(atleast that I know of). Didnt port it either. Maybe the stock intake size is helping me? But yea, seems like Dustin worked his magic though. You switch to e85/meth yet? Surprised you jumped to 23lbs, tuned it quick.

Damn, now im curious when you're done. Right now comparing the logs you're flowing 20g/s more at a lower boost

Actually i probably hit more like 24-25psi. I'm only calling for about 14psi, but it creeps after that. Can you show me one of your logs. I want to see if your throttle starts closing to combat creep. But either way this rig will be beast when i'm done. Still conservative timing, and slow boost right now.

Calling for 14 psi but seeing 24? You just have the MBC set at 14 PSI right? I dont know how those things work... but calling for anything in the AP is going to be pointless since its all physical control. And you have no real way to actually check the WGDC correct?

Cant remember what I have exactly without looking, it was 70bucks on sale, some obII reader josh told me to get. It's originally 200 or something like that. Dustin told me to get a 3 bar sensor so we could see the actual boost, but he removed the boost cut.

If you load tune and set the TRLs up, enable the Load Dynamics table the TP will def close down once you exceed target load values. not too sure if it can quell 10 + PSI...lol

go look at mayer's and cld12pk's BT threads, they got the wrong wg springs. however, iirc they had issues with not enough boost, not too much.

K so a little update on what's been going on. I wanted to cure my boost creep issue so I bought a CNT catted downpipe to help create a little restriction on teh exhaust side. Thanks to driver11 for that advice. I was boost creeping over 23.5 at 5500rpms, and now I can basically hold low boost levels. So it's great. Also preloaded the fuck out of the wastegate actuater to help with slow spool. Took an act of god to get the arm back on the flapper.



So once all that was done, sprang a coolant leak on new years eve. Turns out the coolant return broke rubbing against the wga. Fixed that and filled up with coolant. Took for a drive around the block and some whore pulls out in front of me into my lane. I didn't notice in time and i sideswiped her.



Awesome, at least the car runs. Still have a lot of tuning to go, but here's a slow 17.5psi pull, still have the k04 shortshift reflex in me though.

Finally starting to get somewhere, bumped pressure up to about 21psi. Boost response is getting worse though, i'm thinking the wastegate is creeking upen again.

Took a slight hiatus into tuning this guy, but getting back into it. Still seems slow. This is at 20psi, 11afr, 13degrees up top.

Ok finally got my car back from the body shop...time to start tuning again.

So I got back under the car and cut the wastegate actuator arm another quarter of an inch. Had to use a compressor with 20psi to get the arm back on the flapper. But the good news is spring pressure is right around 1bar instead of .5bar. So now I don't have as much of an overdamped process. I figure once i turn the fun knob up i should be able to get 20psi by 3700rpms (interpolating). Now it doesn't feel like I have a gt42 on my car.

Give it multiple handjobs...jk. But I ended up cutting maybe close to 3/4" off the arm and preloading the fuck out of it. Not sure why I got the most retarded wastegage arm and actuator out of everyone.

hey man, can you go into a little more detail about what you used for the water/oil lines? I just picked up a non-hotside 3071 and a used atp hotside, and I'm wondering if I should just suck it up and buy the lines from atp ($190), or do something like you did, if its sorta easy and cheaper.

Ok well the oil drain is expensive...10an braided. I would look for like a 12" line...can probably be had on eBay. Then you need Garrett/efr flanges...you need 2. One block side and one turbo. Treadstone is 10 dollars cheaper a pop on those. And integrated o-ring so significantly less chance of finding oil drips on your garage floor. Also expect to cut down the line to size...dremel and electrical tape to stop fraying is hat I used.

Oil feed you use stock line. You'll need to get new crush washers. Well crush washers for coolant too. The ATP low profile banjo bolt is the only one that I know of that helps to clear the hot side to chra bolts.

Coolant inlet I think it is...people sometimes bend that stock stainless line to get it to fit. Me I just bought some more hose from autozone and a hose mender and lengthened it. If you go this route you need a banjo fitting with nipple...on the hose Not sure what size it is...but sutozone definately will have. Or check out cp12pk's build...I believe it is him who links some nice silicone hose.

Coolant out...or whatever one goes to the egr...basically all you need is a banjo and then get it to mend to hose via compression fitting and stainless line...forget the AN size...or get a banjo that is a nipple an get high temp silicone hose and route to egr. Just need to research and get the sizes right...not terribly difficult just time consuming.

May seem daunting because of soo many parts...but just planning is required. Oil is the easiest. Coolant its just connect the dots. If you need me to link you to parts I can. But really coolant is just making parts fit together.
