Heard lots of these ebay turbos blowing oil seals- look into getting some sort of oil inlet restrictor.

also a problem usually is boost control/creep. use a dremel and make the WG port as big as possible and add a 'channel' leading into the WG port...should help control boost a good bit.

The ebay/china turbos seem hit or miss. plenty of fail out there, but ive seen a lot, especially more recently, that work great.

im pretty sure thats the ford 5 bolt. if im correct, hes going to attach that to a adapter for vband and get a vband dp.

The turbo that Derek posted has a T25 outlet. That's what it is called. It doesn't have a special name. A 5-bolt pattern in that configuration with an IWG is a T25 discharge...don't know what else to tell ya.

I pushed the dent out, only thing really left is scratches.

Update

Just got back from the turbo shop. Everything passed inspection, replaced the bearings anyway incase I need a spare although the thrust components are godspeed exclusive since they frankenstiend a bunch of turbos togther to make this chinacharger. The ONLY thing that this turbo failed on was balancing. And fail it did, turbo was 4 grams off balance. Which is fucking huge if you consider the weight of the wheels and shaft. However all looks well @ my turbo. Already got a seller for the 3 inch vband dp. Not much left minus the fun ima have trying to fab up oil and coolant lines

also price as dropped to 100 for the whole thing due to thrust components not needing replacement

so got the turbo back from the shop. the hotside is very dissapointing, still even being that small the turbine wheel is still bigger than the k04's. i got money ready to finish ordering the parts but i might be moving this month so ill have to hold off on any crazy purchases just yet. im ready to pp crazyp for his 3inch vband. after that, just oil/coolant lines and the 5 bolt dp adapter to vband

at first we were concerned with welding on cast iron due to the fact it is so porous and generally of poor quality , however after further inspection it seems the cast iron on the chincharger is actually of quite high quality. ftw china





so far the pricetag is 430 dorras
