COBB Adjustable Internal Wastegate Brackets Now Available

COBB Tuning is proud to announce the availability of an innovative new pair of Internal Wastegate (IWG) Brackets for Subaru and MAZDASPEED vehicles in short and long bracket styles. The COBB Tuning Adjustable IWG Bracket is the first of its kind, and the most versatile and reliable way to keep a turbocharger’s internal wastegate closed when using an external wastegate setup. The Adjustable IWG Bracket can be installed quickly, adjusted for perfect fitment on many different turbos, and can be removed just as easily to return a turbo to its original configuration.

http://blogs.cobbtuning.com/wp-conte...IWGBracket.jpg

The COBB Adjustable IWG Bracket replaces the internal wastegate actuator and locks the wastegate in a fully closed position. This is a superior solution to welding the wastegate door closed, which is a time-consuming, expensive and irreversible process. The COBB Adjustable IWG Bracket is easy to install and bolts into place and adjusts quickly using simple hand tools.

Not all turbos are made exactly the same, and there can be variations in housings, center cartridges, clocking, etc. A single position internal wastegate bracket may not accommodate these variations and fail to close the wastegate completely, which will result in poor turbo response and lower maximum boost. The COBB Adjustable IWG Bracket takes the worry of turbo-component variance out of the equation and allows proper adjustment, every time, on a variety of different turbos that a non-adjustable internal wastegate bracket simply cannot match.

The COBB Adjustable IWG Bracket’s advantage lies in its unique adjustable rod-end linkage. The turnbuckle center section features right-hand and left-hand threads to make adjustment as easy as rotating it one direction or the other to shorten or lengthen it. The rod-end linkage and through-bolt allow high misalignment for maximum adjustability. The bracket itself is made from a single piece of 11-Gauge steel and incorporates slotted bolt holes for additional adjustability and turbo compatibility. The custom spade-bolt that connects to the wastegate arm, the bracket, and the turnbuckle are black zinc coated for an attractive finish that is corrosion resistant. All hardware for install is included in this kit.

The COBB Tuning Adjustable IWG Bracket offers maximum turbo compatibility, simple installation and is easily adjustable to ensure complete wastegate closure to get the maximum performance from your specific setup. In the familiar words of our dads, “Make sure you shut the ****ed door!”

I could have used this 5 months ago! killer piece.

Will Cobb ever bring some exhaust manifolds to the market?
I keep hearing Cobb wants to step away from mechanical parts which is a shame. Most mechanical parts you put out are better than the ebb and flow ghetto shit other vendors spew out. And MSF has had a few of those.
I don't think you can go wrong bringing out complete bolt on kits with EWG manifolds and V-band downpipes for GT30 series turbos. No reputable vendor makes that.

We certainly learned a lot from that experience. We are thrilled that the MAZDASPEED community has allowed us to move past that and get back to making great parts and happy customers.

Seriously? Did you read the post immediately before your own?

pieceofpuu 08-02-2019 08:43 AM

He just said 'BNR' that could mean any BNR turbo lol.. not all turbo housings are the same...

You clearly can't read.

pieceofpuu 08-02-2019 08:54 AM

You could easily navigate to their website you keyboard princess

pieceofpuu 08-02-2019 10:03 PM

keyboard princess checking in

I did research it actually, Cobb mentions it fits most turbo housings for the mazda/subaru. If some fucker in here said 'Yes, it works with the S3', i'd call myself out for asking lol.

Classic MSF community though, somebody asks a non retarded question about an IWG bracket and someone's asshole tightens up, classic. Night ladies

Reading comprehension impaired “non-retard” retard throws down in epic battle with forum moderator! “Keyboard warrior”?

What is it about “BNR S3” in the sig and “this product works great” that you can’t see or read after mod points it out twice?

This ought to be interesting. Let’s get out the popcorn!

a forum moderator.. am I supposed to be afraid? :dunce:

1) his post was old, could've been using a different turbo at the time, so boo hoo I asked if it worked
2) nobody mentioned it worked on an s3
3) smd :D

Sure, why not?

1) his post was old, could've been using a different turbo at the time, so boo hoo I asked if it worked
His post specifically said he was going to try it with "the bnr." The S3 is mentioned specifically in his signature, and the S3 is by far the most commonly swapped aftermarket BNR turbo for this platform. Sure, the post was old. The last time ckMS3 was even on the forum was 3+ years ago. If you'd bothered to take a beat, read, and learn, you wouldn't have ended up being such a pretty pretty princess on here.

2) nobody mentioned it worked on an s3

In effect, ckMS3 did, as we've been pointing out to your reading-comprehension-challenged ass.

3) smd :D
Agreed. Why not drop this idiocy? You keep dredging up inane bullshit instead of actually doing anything useful for yourself or the forum.
