(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  EWG Screamer Pipe Question I am used to a screamer pipe being loud but releasing a smooth sound. Like the normal exhaust note just kicked up a notch. This is happening under part throttle or when the WGDC is 0. When I am at full throttle and the wgdc is at my max setting of around 40, it sounds like someone is clanging pots and pans together. Sort of like an old car that is constantly misfiring. Is this what is is supposed to sound like? My thought is that the gate is opening 100% then closing 100% instead of holding open at x% consistently. Is there a setting I am missing, or something to look at?

| Not Ranked : 0 score Did you forget to put the valve seat in when you installed the WG ( looks like a metal ring)? If you forgot to put that in it will sound like it's open at idle and could cause the odd sounds you are hearing under WOT.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score The valve seat ring is on there. If I remember correctly the larger OD of the ring was on the turbo side and the smaller OD went into the waste gate. Also, it seems to smooth out almost to normal when I hit rpm's closer to redline.

| Not Ranked : 0 score try running the wg directly off of spring pressure. IE: bypass the solenoid. If you still get the flutter, you know its the solenoid, if not its something in your wg.

| Not Ranked : 0 score my old setup sounded like that...... took my car to Turbo Trix for custom dp and new dump, and now it sounds like all motor. @doubleflusher; has his setup made there also, and it sounds all motor also. | |
