Didnt know if i should be asking this in the BT section.. i am starting to order parts for my build in the next few weeks, but i have a few questions.. can the head bolts and main bolts be reused ? timing chain ? since i dont know the mileage on the motor i am replacing the oil pump and the VVt. my goal is 350-400 hp.. nothing too crazy going to do wiseco/K1 combo.. Eagle is making rods now for the mzr.. " up to 900hp "

| Not Ranked : 0 score You definitely DO NOT want to reuse stock head bolts or main bolts. That's asking for fail. They are torque-to-yield and are much weaker when you reuse them. This is my first timing chain car and my motor is fairly new, so I'm not sure about reusing that. You're talking about power at the wheels, right? The MS3 can easily hold together at 400 crank hp as long as you do WOT above 3k. Just takes a good tune and common sense. If you want 400whp, building the block is basically a must, yes.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score when you do the BSD do you have to use a a oil pan baffle tray ? i know i need to plug the hole with a BSD kit... what windage tray is the best.. i know F2 doesnt make them anymore.. PTP/PG our only choice now ?

| Not Ranked : 0 score As far as the BSD goes, CFM makes a kit very similar to F2s. Fuck PTPs kit, it's total garbage. I would rather run a BS than theirs. CFM unfortunately does not make a baffle so unless there's a one available somewhere else, I would bite the bullet and run PTPs. It way better than nothing.
