Finally BNR stage 3

Finally grew the balls of ditching my smokey k04. Called Bryan today, he said it will be done and ready by next week.

Got all the misc. shit to install the turbo already. Received my JBR OCC, TB thermal insulating gasket/ coolant by-pass, along with a egr delete.

Hopefully i get everything by next week and everything on my car by the following week.

Any more tips on tuning the bnr st3 would be great. (I was thinking of getting my car pro-tuned at Church Automotive too, but i'll see)

I'm sure you read up on other BNR installs....here's a few just in case you didnt. Good luck, I think this is the best route for DD.

No real tuning tips for the stg 3. You just tune it like you tune with any other turbo: start at 0% wgdc and take a log. Mine actually creeped to 20psi at redline, which was surprising, but I wanted to run more than that anyway.

I see you're in CA, so I would run Cobb stg 1 timing values for the upper RPMs to start off with unless you have meth or e85. You're going to be making close to 2.0 load at red line as opposed to the wimpy 1.6 - 1.7 the k04 holds up there, so can't run as much timing up there like you used to.

You might also want to buy a grimmspeed 3-port to help control boost. If you plan of staying with stock you will need a restrictor pill.

Ah yes. I'm using the stock ebcs right now, with a 0.045" welding tip in the line coming off of the boost tap on the compressor. It's working pretty well, I would say. Grimmspeed does make life easier, though.

Yea atvfreek suggested I get one, plus I figured Id end up getting one anyway so I said what the hell it's only a hundred bucks. Install was a breeze.

Yeah, here's a 4th gear pull to 4500. Notice I'm at over 16psi at 3k, 30% wgdc. At 0% wgdc, I was at only 11psi. I would say it's working.

Looks good, what boost were you targeting though? Did you have the boost error doing any work for you?

I do have boost comp enabled, though it doesn't seem to be working, heh. I'm targeting 20 at 3k, but the ECU commands my requested 30%, so whatever.

It seems to be working in the later rpms, as your wgdc goes down to 20, unless you have it set at 20 at 4500 rpm.

I already have gs ebcs, ill be changing it to interupt mode when the bnr is up
