(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Story: I bought the turbo and was excited to put it on. I started the install and after dropping subframe and finagling to GT in I find that it doesn't quite fit. Along with this the oil drain isn't quite lining up and the feed is hitting the turbo keeping me from installing. I'm using factory lines but ATP bolts. Also the ATP bolts are to short. I also purchased a Lex tune and times ticking. To add to my dilemma I don't see a braided line working for the drain due to the transfer case. My factory drain tube is touching the TC. I read the how to's and it seems like my install went completely different. I'm so frustrated I can't think so any advise is welcomed. I don't and can't bring it to the mechanic as the front end is apart.

I might be a newb to the speed6 but I'm definitely not a newb to cars. I know my way around the engine bay. However this one has me beat.

| Not Ranked : 0 score why did you drop the subframe... seams like extra unnecessary work. take the tmic off, take a bolt out of the rmm, jack the engine up to move it forward, slide the exh manifold out, remove old turbo, place in new turbo and repeat in reverse order.. going through the top isn't that bad, especially with a stock exh manifold, try it with the cp-e one, that's a bitch. as for the drain to the transfer case, that is kind of a pain, I don't really have any advice for that.

I had the drop subframe because of the factory turbo mounts and bolts. I tried to remove the manifold but mine is stuck and I've soaked it with different penetrant oils with on luck. So I guess I'm doing it right, just the car is fighting me the entire way. If pictures load: In the pictures I'm showing the length of the stock oil banjo bolt vs the ATP. Also I'm trying to show the drain tube. I know in the one picture I have both crush washers one end, its to show how many threads I have to deal with. Also I have a picture showing how small the atp bolt head is and the gap between the banjo and the head. Finally the picture shows how it's sitting right know and how tight it is.

| Not Ranked : 0 score The oil drain -AN line is too long; you need to cut it down to length. For the banjo bolt, one washer per side of the banjo fitting on the hard line; you have both crush washers on the bolt in the pic. I had to extend one of the coolant lines and move the coolant hardline out of the way to get my GTX3071 to fit.

| The fail is strong within this one. Hope you figure out where those washers actually go on the feed line, yes that line is a bitch and the bolt may seem a little small, but everyone else runs the same bolt with the atp kit, it works. Not to mention the other 7856 speeds that are running the ATP kit. Either way goodluck hope you figure it out

| Not Ranked : 0 score You seem to be using the factory oil return instead of the braided line ATP includes which has to be cut to fit. Also the turbo isn't bolted to the manifold. How do you expect to get the lines on if it's not bolted up tight? IDK about the banjo bolt. Mine fit fine.

After all this I finally received some awesome wisdom from Alan Jackson at EdgeAutosport. He told me to stuff the socket with paper towel really tight then use it to force the bolts in. This worked and the turbo is fully installed now. This issue should be noted in the sticky and the stuff advise should be in it as well. Either way its in this thread so if anyone else has this problem they now know how to solve it. Time to get Lex tuned. So excited.

| Not Ranked : 0 score If you got the kit from edge it definitely came with lines, they know their shit and wouldn't send a turbo kit out without them (I know my kit came with them...) also, if it didn't come with lines, how did you get it hooked up? I'm confused

| Not Ranked : 0 score I am currently installing an ATP GTX3076 purchased from MAP right now, and it didn't come with a -AN oil drain line. However, my ATP GTX3071 kit purchased from Edge did. I don't know if it's the vendor or a change in the kit from ATP.
