(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  GT3071R MS6 Daily Driver Build Hey guys thought i would post it up doing a customers/friends MS6. GT3071R CPE HPFP Ebay Down Pipe with IMR modded 02 Housing Magnaflow Exhaust for now CPE top mount Cobb Access Port AEM Intake. Stock turbo is smoking pretty bad after 180,000km so he opted for a GT30. I did some heavy reconstruction of the 02 housings, as alot of the builds on here i notice do not modify or check the 02 hosuings. The housings are a crappy fit on the stock K04 from all the DP i have seen. The ebay 02 housing was over 1/2" in the turbine discharge side and on the wastegate side the flange pertruded over 1/4" at the flapper witch creats alot of turbulance and does not allow the exhaust to flow intern on both aspects slows spool times and power and raisies EGT temps !! Some pics of the car This is the stock ebay flange style 02 housing flange sticking in the turbine track and wastegate path. Some pre heating and welding to build up the housing for the port work and proper gasket surface area! Area after welding needing porting you can see the amount that has to be removed. End results of the work Turbo is all back together , the housing reshaping and porting finished. Turbo is dropped into the MS6 suprised how it all went together so well so far. SpeedLife likes this. (Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score more progress the turbo is installed and now just need to install the intercooler and figure out where i am going to put the wastegate vacum soruce nipple. Also installing a CPE HPFP SpeedLife likes this. | |
