gt3076 ewg w/ grimspeed ebcs

ok so after installing my gt3076 w/ewg on my spd3 ive run into a problem idk how to plug all this up into my grimspeed ebcs ive heard various different ways nd i want the most accurate way or best way possible with out killing myself. i know i should of searched but im trying to get this finished 2night all help would be hightly apperciated

ive heard u dont run vented on the top of the wastegate

please just need help

the install guide online is for IWG not EWG im really bad at this dats y im asking for help b4 my spd3 goes boom boom

Run interrupt mode which is at the bottom of the manual found here

Compressor housing, to port 3, out port 2, into bottom EWG nipple. vent top to atmosphere.


"EWG
Hook up vacuum lines. See Figure 3. Port 3 connects to a high-pressure boost source (there is
a vacuum nipple on the turbo compressor outlet). Port 2 connects to the bottom port on the
external wastegate. The factory restrictor pill should be removed for operation. It is
recommended that a plastic zip tie is used to secure vacuum lines. The electrical is plug and
play with the supplied connector."

thanks bro i really apperciate it just 1 more question my turbo does not have a high pressure boost source nipple on my turbo where else can i get this boost source

thnks ppl i really apperciate the help my car should b up in running by this weekend, i ran into anotha prob my PG pipping does not clear enough to connect to my turbo so now i gotta customize to make this work

Tap your hot side pipe , not off the bov. u want it as close to the turbo as possible for proper response.

K just curious who has ran into dis problem my hot pipe on the I/C doea not wanna meet up with my turbo the cuppling is to short ive searched all my local shops and. Cant find anything

Pretty much everyone with a BT... look at how long that outlet on the k04 is! You either need to find one long enough or hook 2 together. Im on my phone and can't link to it but I know several people have documented how they did it.

Yeah, like freundb said, EVERYONE runs into this. U shoulda seen our initial ghetto set up. We used some thin metal piling that I could've almost crushed in my hand and two clamps. It held 16psi though lol. I just took it to a shop that welds and had them extend my hot pipe.

@kmac I've heard someone mention being closer to the turbo before, but is the difference really noticeable? Would it help tame my 2psi boost spike when I wot or remove 50 rpms from my spool up? Just curious.

It very well might . Being as close to the turbo as possible will most likely fix it it takes to long for the wg to respond at that distance. If your requesting 20 psi and the manifold reaches 20 and it goes to controller the ebcs. By the ebcs and wastegate respond It's already a couple of pounds past It's requested.
