[QUOTE=Dano2010;459033]There is a load cap in the Mazda ECU that Cobb hasn't been able to get past yet. Yeah they can do it with just about any other car but not ours. I think their ProTuners tune around the cap to a certain extent but can't get over 400 IIRC. I am running with the mods in my sig and I had to work around the load cap to maintain consistant AFR and boost. The cap doesn't appear to effect everyone but the numbers are signifiant.

Awww I did not know... Thank you very much...Thats good info

Are you using the AP or a SB as a tuning solution?

Sounds like an interesting project and if you are using an AP I would love to know if you already hit the cap or will with the BT.

Are you hitting a load cap?

It is evidenced by a logged flat-line load , starting just after WOT holding til around 5.5k then falling. When in actuality your load continues to climb [like a torque curve] but the ECU doesn't calculate it above a certain point. For me it was 195-197ish and held there from 3.5K to 5.5K IIRC. When this happens fueling becomes a major issue above 18PSI.

SB and flashes...its a no brainer in your situtation!

Cobb has known about this for a long time now and haven't fixed it yet so why should we think they will. they have had over 3 years for Gods sake!!!!!

you don't need a 650hp capable turbo to break in the 400s. So srsly, why the GT35R? Other than lag lag lag....

so you'll make do with big lag now for possible 500whp later? A 3076R will make more power now than you can probably do with the motor anyways.......

I actually like the later spool. A lot of people do not agree or understand, but I like the feel that an oversized turbo provides. If I decide that I don't like it down the road, I can always switch it out now that I have a proper t4 manifold and vband downpipe that is more universal than that fail mazda flange.

The lag really isn't all that bad, sure you don't hit full boost until ~4K, but I have a very usable 10 psi around 3K and that thousand rpms passes by VERY quickly...

Why in the fuck would you run a GT35R at 10psi ? For fucks sake, don't even run that turbo if you're not going to run 1 bar or higher on a daily basis. Seriously. It's not even warmed up at 1 bar. Not even close it it's operating range at 10psi.

Please tell me you're running more than 10psi.

What I sad was that I have at least 10psi by 3000RPM, no where in my post did I say that was my peak boost. I am running off the wastegate right now, with a 1.4bar spring setup...

why do you guys act like theres SOOOOOOO much turbo lag with a 35R?

If you have half a skull and want to keep your car in one piece you dont floor it or begin to build boost until 3k-3,500 rpm so full boost at 4K is pretty fast aint it.

P.S. Roll racing mark when he wasnt brake boosting, his turbo would take a half a second more than my stock turbo to spool up and start raping me. Where is his magic year long lag?

taking a portion of my post vs. the full post = fail.

That's why I said "please tell me you're not running 10psi"

I could care less about the lag but I think there are people posting in this thread *cough*noobs*cough* who just want to run a GT35R and really have no reasons for it other than it sounds cool.

Mine is on a lift with a burnt oil return line, a leaking transfer case, and a leaking timing cover/front mail seal...

$1K from now it'll be ready to tune....again...maybe?

2001 sentra turbo I built, twice. cuz, you know. oil starvation is fun.

So if I can't judge you by your join date, don't use that assumption with others aswell. Everyone was a noob at one time.

Part of your original statement:

I could care less about the lag but I think there are people posting in this thread *cough*noobs*cough* who just want to run a GT35R and really have no reasons for it other than it sounds cool.
I think you are making a lot of assumptions there huh? I just thought it would be nice to point out the hypocrisy in your statement

Also, technically, since you haven't owned a MS turbo, you are still a noob.
