After all my time lurking on BT Build section the time has come for me to contribute. I was original going to go with a GTX3076 on stock mani with a eBay downpipe and all the other essentials for going BT.......but then since the wife was in Hawaii when the order was going down I got a case of the Yolos and went with all this instead

Looking to just get it to as much power on a safe tune as I can for now since I'll be staying with stock block. Hopefully once I recover from the wife killing me I'll be able to build the motor. Inb4zzb

Once I start getting everything in I'll start taking pics for all to see and hopefully get some good pictures of the install process/outcome as well. Big props to @EdgeAutosport.com; for the good deal and fantastic customer service. Hopefully I get to start seeing some tracking numbers next week for all this ish.


EDIT : Car Blew the head gasket in August 2014 then I became a depressed ghost.

Other than the CP-e mani and the EWG spring install the rest of what I tried to accomplish today was a pita. Only had a solid 3 hours or so messing with it all most of that was just planing and talking. Of course got the turbo mounted somewhat and holy shit does it sit lower than I expected. It sits right on top of those bitch ass heater hoses so I wanna replace them with longer lines.

I'm not quite sure if i can replace the hard line with a soft line so that will require some research unless someone that's following this knows. On top of that the Turbo didn't come with the return line bolts which aren't the same size as what came off of the stock so had to make a trip for those. Time to get with edge and kozmic tomorrow and barrage them with more questions.

I ran into the same issue with the return line. It's definitely an easy fix, however, if edge is going to make it a kit then supplying the ALL the required hardware will make things a lot easier for those looking for a straight "bolt-on" kit. Keep giving them feed-back to make this happen!

Got some more stuff done today with the help of @LatinKraze; I removed the coolant hard line that was right by the housing when I mocked it up yesterday and replaced it with a soft line. Got the Intake manifold back on with the new tig amd got the turbo, dp and wastegate mounted up to check fitment with the orientation of the turbo. Still need to tackle the oil return line that is mighty close to the block and figure how the f I'm going to secure the JBR whale penis.

So far everything looks good obviously slight hiccups but nothing so far that makes me regret getting it all. Hoping to have this thing running by tomorrow pending i can track down a silicone coupler for the turbo.

Sweet build. Going bb 5858 in a couple of weeks...need to finish buying some odds and ends. What are you doing for intercooler? Can you run anything that will fit k04/gtx or do you need custom pipe?

Same piping. We just need to pick up a new coupler for the hot pipe to compressor discharge.

ITS ALIVE!!!.......but AFR's are reading 20-22 at idle so I'll be getting with my tuner and rechecking everything. Also got a little coolant leak from the allen screw in the EGR delete so I'm gonna coat that bitch with rtv later today once I wake up. @VegasMS3; and @mr_mazda329; have video of it starting up and me being a scared bitch. Maybe they can post is up at some point. I'll finish off with some pics off the hardline delete and other shit.
