That's the quick tap for the boost reference to connect to your boost control solenoid. It's made to tap into the coupler right off the turbo.

update:
we finished installing the 3071r and JBR 3.5 intake. as we start the vehicle it turns on then no higher than 1rpm shuts off. we even started it then gave it gas and still goes no high than 1rpm. any ideas? we double check, retighten every bolt,nut, and the maf. Need to know where the pigtail 3bar maf goes though.

Did you adjust your mafcal for the new intake?

Pigtail goes on the map sensor, left side of intake manifold on the last runner half way down, i believe its an 8mm screw holding the sensor in place, if you unplug the 2 big grey clips it makes it easier to see. +1 on maf cal, to much air coming in and your car is goin fucking ceazy

Thanks dude, Mikey, RED and I install the turbo and later it was just Mikey and I installing everything else. We were stumped on the 3bar mafMAF on where it goes. Now the only problem we ran into was after the startup and give it a little WOT! She backfires and stumbles getting up there. Any ideas?

Well im gonna guess that you have not done much (any?) tuning for the new turbo so thats a possibility for why you are having issues.

Also did you set the scalars and offset for the new map sensor?

map sensor and big maf both have to be accounted for in the tune. without that car wont start

Yep, loaded a stock tune for the his new turbo. After we loaded, the vehicle started up.

So you didnt set the scalars for the 3 bar nor did you scale the maf sensor.

Agreed.. why would you decide to go WOT after starting it, when it died at idle..

This is a ZZB waiting to happen. I mean seriously, who decides to WOT to see if the car will stay on after start.

You must have not read on the JBR intake either during his first batch of intakes.. i think i was first to post the issue with the dieing at idle.. then everyone started jumping on and it became a maf cal discussion.. RESEARCH BEFORE DOING

map sensor needs to be accounted for, as does the diameter of the maf housing. he's getting too much air not reading pressure properly...that will fuck shit up

Uhoh...

Fist thing you need to do is neuter the WGDC table. Set ALL of the values to 0. (EDIT: or just unplug the solenoid)

Then buy an mbc. Its generally accepted as the easiest method of controlling boost with a BT.

After that read this Stock Fitment 3 Bar Map Sensor Upgrade. The scalars and offests are in the bottom of the op. There is also0 much discussion as to what numbers work the best. Read through the thread.

Next you need to scale your entire maf table by 26% (I believe this is what it is, someone please correct me if Im wrong). Then you need to do a proper maf cal.

ok, so OP is local to me, but i don't really know him. i'll say that he's a nice guy and is always helpful to the locals in installing parts. i'm honestly a little surprised that he didn't do more homework.

i believe he is perm tuned, so he has that resource available to him.
