(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score The build so far 700+ But I was wondering who else is getting 400+ Grams per sec on their Big turbo cars? started tuning today for the millionth time PurpleDrank (the best) and saw I was making over 400 grams a sec on 21.9 psi (base Map) anyone else making this much and how much power are you making? I understand it's not a direct correlation, but curious. plugged the data into virtual dyno which says I'm making... With VVT 482hp without VVT 447hp Not sure if I can believe that in full until I put it on a real dyno. all the data I entered is indeed correct. -22.97 circumference wheels -90 degree outside air temp -2800 lbs (100% gutted, i mean literally everything down to the steering lock) probably weighs more -4th gear pull

| Not Ranked : 0 score I hit 475+g/s at 25psi, but it's been a long while since my car has been on the road. IIRC VD also had me around 480hp. Never made it to a real dyno.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I got 395g/s at 21.6psi on my 91 octane tune (0-60 test log) Maxed my MAF at 29psi when the weather was cool last week while troubleshooting a faulty boost controller...(I didnt log g/s since my MAF curve is scaled to compensate for the meth injection, but my pre-scaled MAF curve shows 507g/s at 5V)

| Not Ranked : 0 score I don't have the logs readily available right now, but it was something like 45 lbs/min (340 g/s) at 18 psi? That mani really does flow well, and engine speed going up will move you almost straight down on a compressor map (can't see your rpm on dyno). But with that big custom intake on a base map, and added meth... who knows what everything is actually scaled to. You may never know what your real flow is with meth nozzles in the picture.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Thanks for the input guys! Was doing some research and like I thought there is no direct correlation between the two only guesstimates, there are a couple of formulas you can use but it's mostly for deciding on what size turbo you should be looking for depending on HP wanted. One formula is ( G/s / .82) = desired hp. So (400 G/s / .82) = 487 hp and that's ball park but some say that's BHP and Not WHP The other formula is (Lb/mn x 10) and that's way high at like 520hp There's arguments on that one as well with some saying the following -supercharger (Lb/mn * 1.1)(- % of driveline loss) = HP -Turbo (Lb/mn * 1.25)(-% of driveline loss) = HP The last one making the most since 52 Lb/mn * 1.25 -8% = 460 10% = 450 ( said 8% because Solid motor mounts and Raxles) All very interesting stuff! Had no idea about any of this before looking into it. Can't wait to finish the tuning, put it on a dyno and see how close any of these formulas might be. Thoughts??
