Default Mazda3 manifold on Mazdaspeed 3?

Ok this is going to sound wierd, but will the Mazda 3 turbo manifolds fit on the Mazdaspeed 3 head? I've been looking for t3 or t4 headers for my speed 3.... Buuuttt I can't find a set for under $800 ( sorry I'm a cheap F*cker ) but I've already spent over 5gs building this car and already have headers and want to go big turbo now. I can find cheap Mazda 3 turbo manifolds all day that are t3 or t4 thing is will the bolt up? I'll find some pics and post them up. Oh and just for the record I don't care if they melt or crack that's why I paid 100 bucks for them I'll just buy another set lol.

If you truely want a cheap t3 just get the xs power v3 v2.something and have someone cut the stock flange off and replace with a t3 or t4. They already come with EWG so you jsut need to do your own flange. That would be the relatively easiest and cheapest way.

The one you have linked is top mount and I believe some have made it work with a wedge to change the angle of how the turbo sits.

I was thinking about that^ I was going to do it to my headers but I couldn't bring myself to destroy them. :/ and the biggest thing is I want the turbo to be a top mount setup. Also what is this wedge you speak of? A spacer to push it further from the block?

yes it's a wedge to rotate the turbo back slightly so it clears the valve cover. The one I saw was just another turbo flange shaved and welded.

So you are wanting to go top mount but also want to be cheap?

To run that manifold you will need a wedge to angle it away from the firewall, modified intake, modified Downpipe, new oil lines.

VS chopping the mazda flange off current manifold and having a T3/t4 welded on.

Make sure you know the direction you REALLY want to go before you take the first step. Either way big turbos are fun; join the BT club.

Lol I'm way past all of that, it's gonna be hood dumped and a velocity stack, The bottom end is built and the car is pretty much done all I have to do is go bigger turbo again, I already have a k04 killer and I just need more. It's not the daily whip so I'm not worried about all that other jazz, it's just my go fast whip

Yesssss^ this is what I need!!!! And see even if this pod turbo blows up I'll just buy another, but so far I have had nothing but good luck with eBay turbos, I had one last me 4 years on 500hp. The motor went before the turbo. So we will see what happens

That's the one I saw in person. It can work. it just requires you to fab a wedge to tilt the turbo.

This is so stupid. I want an expensive set up, but I want to do it with the cheapest shit around. OP donate and people might take you more seriously, and quit being a cheap ass if you want to do a legit top mount set up. You have to pay to play. I'm thrifty as shit and buy 90% of my parts on here for cheap.

This thread is full of so much fail

Cheap ass wants top mount setup
Wants to use generic eBay china top mount manifold instead of spend for quality manifold
Probably forgetting all additional expenses of topmount because cheap ass
eBay chinacharger turbo of choice
refers to manifold as headerS meaning multiple
refers to car as a whip...

I've seen a couple of guys with this manifold have a successful setup but I lost all hope pretty quickly in this thread. OP is to cheap for this to even be remotely successful.

...but it's ok guys he has a built block and all bolt ons using only the finest products

....from China.

i have this mani. its gay... the flow sucks. buy it if your goal is only 350hp and to make power 500rpm after everyone has already pulled away.

for ref: 62mm borg s362fmw should spool before 5k... hits full boost , 21# at 5300 with this manifold. dont be cheap. i just wanted to put the turbo on while i make a manifold.

I'm running the same manifold as from the cast iron thread, a local actually bought that entire setup and is still running it tho I have that turbo now. We both have ms6 he has the Wedge from the thread but I don't. I don't think the problem is with the turbo hitting the valve cover because mine doesn't but the issue is in it hitting the firewall, the Wedge lifts it and tilts it towards the engine over top of the vc. Now that I've given all the info I'll be giving until I get my blow jobs I'll tell you this... You ain't doing it cheap, I did it as cheap as anyone probably ever could without free parts (I used quality parts the only eBay stuff is the mani) I'm probably still $1500-$2000 in

the turbo was the most expensive part for me at 1100$
fab'd up everything else. the manifold was part of a 500$ kit that included a feed line and flange. return flange with a hose barb, which i didnt use. a wastegate with an 8psi spring and a decent looking "super 60" advertised turbo.

the spool times are brutal as open scroll t3 mani is not meant for a divided t4 turbo.
been running 22 psi for a month now.

This thread has so much fail in it.

Yes u might make it run with Ur eBay turbo and eBay manifold. Now will it run better, thts hard to say. I'm sure Ur spool will be slow becuz of both the cheap major components u are changing.

Let alone like mentioned multiple times already top mount is the farthest thing for cheap especially on a speed3, harder to make a top mount setup work especially when not designed for a speed at all.

Stop bein cheap and buy a manifold on here. I know there's one for sale... Also buy a used well known companies turbo on here and Tada saved urself some cash. I know there is a Borg Warner for sale and some smaller frame garrets

I was never worried about cheap other than the manifold, I didn't feel like giving an arm and a leg for a top mount turbo manifold that probably takes 15minutes and 40$ to make. I had already dumped 5,000 in the motor it self and wasn't going to spend another 500+ on a piece of cast iron. Other than that everything else is real, waste gate, turbo, etc etc. oh and I used no wedge on the manifold, fits the Gt3076r like a glove.

Dude, this whole thread started with you wanting to buy the cheapest parts you could find with no care of where it was made and of what quality.

You post up a photo of your turbo top mounted and some rods/pistons NOW your some kind of badass? Shit balls, I had forgotten all about this cluster fuck of a thread.

Either way, congrats on getting the top mount set up completed. Also, congrats on cutting part of your firewall. :/

So much terrible in that picture. Dumps $5000 into motor (which could be done for a lot less) and then hacks up cowl and firewall to be able to run Ebay turbo.

Plus dont get me started on the "illist" sticker and the stupid hood risers.

What intake are you running?

EDIT

After looking at your Instagram like you suggested, I noticed you are running just a filter with no intake.

Who tuned you?

Groaned for the illest decal and for telling people to check instagram. Skinny jeans, flat-billed hat wearing late teenager punk kids...

Get off my lawn.
