Default ms6mil BT Build
Well I finally pulled the trigger on the BT. Got hooked up by Alan from EDGE. So far I have the GT3076, CPE Inlet, Safe seals still waiting on the GS EBCS and the JBR intake.
Looks like this weekend me and @leeroy38; are going to start working on it.

As of now I am sticking with stock manifold and ETS TMIC until I can convince the wife to let me spend another grand on parts. I have been on my 3/9 E85 tune for awhile and have been pretty successful with results, but need MOAR POWA!

I have some concerns that I am overlooking minor things at this point and have no doubt there will be several trips the local autozone. I would appreciate any all recommendations from the pro's here as this build moves along.

Here are a few pix of my new parts and more to follow... Wish me luck!

Sounds good. I am stuck out at Patton range right now till 2200, otherwise I would be under my car right now... Your internals came in? About time.

Yea the internals are in so got that the dp an tih ordering the intercooler tmwr. Yea hopefully we can get him to help out only thing is i cant find a deep socket for the internals all of them are the same depth so gotta figure somethin out.

I just bought some 1/2 deep sockets that should work.

Man it sucks that I have class on Friday. But if your working on it Saturday I'll be over there. One day I'll be on your level, so this will be a good teaching tool.

Ill see what I can do, but I really don't think Ill be able to sneak over this weekend, unless it is for a brief period friday evening. Work is trying to kill me with over time right now and the weekends are the only time I spend any time with the family (and its Easter weekend)

Started today off by putting @leeroy38; internals and inlet in. Then got to work. I started off with a little grinding of the WG. Somehow the after pic got corrupted. Hopefully I grinded enough away.


Everything was going good and as expected we hit a wall with that damn "AIDS Bolt" on the manifold.



A few attempts and trying to just fight through it i decided to put some tools together to create some leverage. It actually was extremely easy once I setup three tools like this.....



it goes through the first open space on the manifold, place the appropriate size wrench on the bolt, connect the second wrench to the open side of the first wrench that is mounted on the bolt and place another tool, in my case my 3/8 drive through the top end of the second tool..



Here are some pics of how I placed the tools through the manifold....



After getting that in place, breaking the bolt was a easy. Good technique for the next time I do this. Hopefully others can use it too.

Manifold came off then started removing the turbo mount and ended up losing some coolant as we were removing the lines from the K04, so clamped them off with some hemostats I had lying around......




UPS stopped by and dropped this off.....



So turbo is out, DAMN this thing is tiny........

Day 2....

The K04 is out and on to fabricating the turbo bracket and that Mother Fucking Oil Return!



Had to shave down the turbine bolt as well to get the oil line to fit.


Finally got the BT mounted and as expected was a very tight fit.


Got my "whale penis" in...it was a tight.... like a virgin


Got it all put back together. Will upload the rest tomorrow. I'm tired!

That looks like it could rub in the long run. Any precautions for that?

^^ Couldn't do much about it due to lack of space but we will see how it holds up.

I made some conservative tweaks to my tune and have attached a recent log. I have to work out a few things. The car feels good, and the turbo spool is loud as shit... I just got my JBR put in and will have to work out another tune with the new intake. How does it look?
