ya this contracting shit is not too bad... good money, easy work just cant be in the states more than 35 days a year or i dont get my tax free.. ya i did my research on torque wrenches before i got mine... i have a shitload of snap on stuff, even a big snap on box, pretty much full as well. I just like to save where i can and i wasnt gunna pay $500 for a single torque wrench... some stuff is worth the money some stuff isnt, and i guess a torque wrench could one of those things, but i thought i would try these out.

Yea That's a bit more hardcore than Me. I make a decent living and still stay in the states about 3 months a year. I'd love to do the Tax free bit, but Its really difficult for me to justify with everything I have at home. I honestly get more freetime than a 9-5 M-F guy would by being overseas part of the time.

ive recently kind of went more retard with the build lol..

Ramfab performance AKA rambo ginesta, mah nigga, is building me the first (of his brand) aluminum crash bar, custom 2.5" aluminum IC piping, and custom 3.5" intake.

IC piping will be this color to match some shit tht i will later reveal (if u having been paying attention):

i also am lookin into gettin seats. Even tho' i love the heated seats in the MS6 i am moving farther away from this bein a cold weather car/daily to more of a weekend fun car. That being said these are wat im looking to get with the possibility of changing to a cipher 2001:

They are replicas yes, but they are proven by multiple people on this platform and others and im not paying $1000+ for real seats... To me tht is ridiculous and should only be thought of on a racecar type of build or higher end car.

Now here is the big concern.... im tryna figure out what to do... Since i have a long DP (its the length of reg dp +TP/stock cat combined, i want an exhaust tht dumps before the stock axle... Eliminating the split to the bumper AKA eliminating weight. Now tht means something custom, short and something tht isnt too loud. Im figuring its gunna cost me about $300-500 to have something welded up and i want it to be Vband which means cutting the flange off my DP and having the exhaust welded with one as well. This also means i need to find a muffler, which is harder than it sounds (no pun intended lol)... It has to be 3" and i have no idea which to choose becuz i want it to sound right and not be too loud but not be pussy ass quiet either. Ive been thinking of a borla 3" tube muffler with a 90* turn down right before the axle. Any suggestions here will be greatly appreciated becuz i cant find much on this subject especially on our platform.

so i just got in some new parts i ordered... Nothin too crazy

Genpu power steering idler pulley

Next thing im ordering is my enkei PF01SS 17x9 +48 rims and a DC lab grade power supply (ordering tht today), then its the final order off Edgeautosport and one order off Jegs and im pretty much done.

Not sure whats in the lil tube with red ends... but it looks like candy lol, looks like a shop sent me treats as well as parts... O also my solvent trap is in one of the pics, some mazdaspeed shirts and my NRG harness bar next to the box with Axle in it.

Got more parts in i ordered:

Muteki SR48 Blue open ended lug nuts (i think i need to order more, i thought it came with all 20)

(other stuff in pics are polishing/buffing wheels for metal for a drill, a cool new grinder, and some mathcin valve stem covers lol)

UPDATE!!!

so i got some more stuff in and i ordered a shitload of stuff from black friday sales and saved a few greenbacks.

Here is wat i just received:

4 Enki PF01SS 17x9 +48 rims with polished lip and white faces (will be powder coating the faces prob to match some stuff unless i get there and like the white).

JBR oil pan baffle

OEM Pilot bearing

OEM TOB

OEM Flywheel Bolts

Kozmic oil feed line

The rest of the stuff should be there by the end of the week and ill update more with what i got. All i need to order left is some tools/stuff off amazon, tires from tirerack.com most likely, and one order off jegs which is like fuel lines and AN fittings.

So it looks like they dont sell Hankook RS3's in a 245/45/17 (at least on tire rack)... so i might be goin with a Bridgestone RE-11, They are $161 a tire which is close to the price of the RS3's in a 245/40/17 and the 245/45/17 will only be .1" taller than the factory 215/45/18 Bridgestone RE050A, so my speeds will stay very close to stock diameter tire. I will just make sure to roll and pull really well. Im only going to go down prob 1-1.5" so i should have plenty of space and will be running a 5mm spacer up front.

Overall ill be losing about 2lbs a corner with Bridgestone Potenza RE-11's (27lbs ea) 245/45/17 with the new rim i have (18.85lbs ea) over the stock rims(23lbs ea. i believe) with the 215/45/18 Bridgestone Potenza RE050A (25lbs ea).. So not massive savings but weight is weight... I could lose 2lbs a corner more if i went 245/40/17, but like u said @Hammology; my gears will a lil more short and we do have short gears already... Thanks for the input @Hammology; i knew i should of just done a lil more math, now my decision is set and a lot easier.

im not sure how it works... i know i have to be out of country minimum 180 days at a time and i cant be at home for more than 35 days a year. This year will be my first full year of tax free. Technically year and a half/2yrs cuz i didnt file last year.

And no fair i cant even go home or i get fucked out of tht shit, its bullshit with how much time im away.

Stay with 245 45 17. It gives you a longer gear without looking retarded on the wheel. I run that size and it is taller than the stock 225 40 18. I run evo8 wheels and they still sometimes rub at stock height

speed3s and 6s are diff homie we have 215/45/18 stock on a 7" rim... i should be perfectly fine with a 245/45/17 on a 9" rim with a spacer and a roll.. My new setup is only .1" taller (from stock 25.6" to 25.7")

SLIGHTLY BIGGER UPDATE:

So finally received the last of my parts I ordered on and right after black Friday.

Some of the stuff I did get tho' I was kind of disappointed with. The Sonic tuning coilovers are not as shown on their site and was one aspect I was a lil excited about as well (the color scheme they show is not wat you get at least for the speed6 application)... Other than tht I thought the CP-E cat back would be polished like its shown since it is SS, but obviously tht was a marketing scheme. Well it would of been a nice touch, but not needed. Guess I'll just have to polish it myself. Other than tht pretty happy with things.

Parts I received:
CP-E austentite 3" SS no-res cat back
Sonic tuning coilovers
South bend stage 3 endurance clutch and flywheel
Techna fit SS brake lines and clutch line




Only have few things left to get including:
Tires (waiting till its closer to when I come home)

SMALL UPDATE:

Got some more parts in the mail.

After months of fuckin with the most garbage company in the world, messed up order had to ship back. The most horrible communication and customer service I've ever seen. I got my custom steering column dual gauge pod. Not even going to mention the companies name they are so garbage... I think they thought they were going to get away with me paying and not having to provide the product and I'd simply forget. I sent heated emails multiple times.

Also got my guardian angel v2 with all the wiring.

Got my new hub centric centerings rings. Was kind of hard finding 67.1mm to 75mm centering rings. Ended up fucking up and only ordering 2, hella expensive shipping too which is why I was pissed. $50 shipping for 2 lil rings tht can't weight more than an oz each.

I know I was highly disappointed to find out they changed their color scheme since it matches my build colors so well. They said they changed it becuz better salt corrosion and one other thing I am forgetting. These were the v3 coilovers also some diff materials they used supposedly. I told them to update their pics, I hate when companies do tht shit. Same thing happened to the CPE no res cat back I got... Its like not polished at all but in pics of course it is... No big deal on either really would be nice to get wat u look at online tho.

As for seats I will be going with bride stradia v2 reps and corbeau rails. U can get a pair of these reps for about $885 and are supposedly pretty quality seats. I will be testing out diff seats and sizes before I buy tho cuz this guy Im Buying mine from has a lot of diff stuff in stock. I might end up going with a full out bucket instead or they are somewhat comfortable.

CPE added a coating to all their Stainless products last year. Same with their manifold and downpipes. IMO it's not worth polishing it because you would first need to remove all the coating and then start polishing. Alot of work for nothing really, it looks nice as it is.

Please share your impression on the coilovers after install, not that many 6 owners have them and I'm forced to upgrade now, because racecar

It will be a huge list of reviews becuz so much shit will be new on this thing. I just hope I don't run into a dump load of problems. So Im making a fat check list of to-do's and check in it twice... I have as much suspension shit to install as motor stuff.

And honestly only reason I went manufactured coilovers is time. If I had more time to diag, get corner balanced, try couple diff spring rates, wait for struts to come back from fat cat motorsports etc etc I would of went the custom route 100%, but I talked myself out of it becuz of the limited time I have home with the car every year and technically its still a street car as well

Of course tires I ordered aren't in stock for another 2 months, I'm getting pretty sick of this shit when website's say they have shit then they email u like o ya we don't have tht shit.

So I went with a bridgestone potenza re-71r supposed to be an updated version of the re-11 being more responsive and better corner stability, guess we'll see. I've never owned either so can't compare much.

Also made my big order off Amazon, which was mostly tools, but also some larger Bosch PI injectors, some fluids and stuff I'll need as well

Should be home around march 10th so it will all be going down then.

BIG ASS UPDATE!!!

So I recently received my ramfab performance items, this guy is top notch and I would recommend him to anyone... Really cool guy just tryna help the community. O and did I mention he packs shit like a fuckin man, finally someone who can pack the expensive shit you buy.

Also so I made the mistake of buying sonic tuning coilovers, well after some long debate and research and tryna get ahold of bilsteins at the time was near impossible, I found a company tht will rebuild my sonics.

Company name is Feal suspension, they build custom coilovers and will revalve and rebuild pretty much any OTS coilovers on the market. Might I add at a very reasonable price. They do a lot of work in the drifting and rally world and was recommend them by @Neverlift; .... They instantly replied to my emails and messages, asked what I was looking for, asked some specific questions like weight, type of vehicle, power etc etc and I told them the main purpose for the car. Told them I wanted around a 750/600 F&R spring rate as well.. They happily obliged and even though they have never worked with sonics stuff they said it would be no problem... Price was $125 per corner on the revalve and im getting swift springs for the front which is $170 for the front 2 coils (I already have 600lb qa1s sitting at home). Tht makes the total, plus shipping, $670 for a custom revalve and some springs for the front.. Hell of a deal in my eyes, when bilstein charges $100 per corner and fatcat charges a $250 consultation fee plus $1000 for the revalve... Now we will see how quality the work is but their turn around time is also only 5-7days so if this works out it will be a very viable option for most.

Also been trying to find a m18x1.5 to 5/8" barb fitting for a venturi setup and it is a lot harder to find than u think. Only stuff I can find is in Australia. Anyways i might just have a slash pipe welded onto DP and call it a day well see when I get home.
