| Not Ranked : 0 score Great build, but ditch the Standback and go AP. About 57.3 billion times better. I ran SB when I first got the car and it stopped logging correctly...also started malfunctioning and my car wouldn't run sometimes. AP has been flawless.

| Not Ranked : 0 score The only 2-3 people that have claimed true success with the SB have had it hard wired. AND they had to buy all the flashes and stupid extra shit... AP FTW Nice build though... A lil unecessary with the 3071 I think... but if you continue with the SB, maybe it was a good plan LOL! |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I concur......Cobb AP would be a better choice for tuning that 3071 imho. Then get her pro-tuned. Might be overkill for 3071...but hey nothing wrong with it. Being on stock motor, your basicly like..it "should" hold..."hopefully" it holds...good tune, probaly be good to go..BUT with Pauter rods and cp pistons+good tune, your fuckin aces

| Not Ranked : 0 score Just curious, is there a reason you decided to build the motor or did you blow the old one?

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score yup... number three had a melt down from leaning out too much... must've been the sb jerking off and not paying attention.... car lost major compression on number 3 so thought it was a bent valve. started off just removing the head...and saw the wall all fucked up... so ended up removing the block... got pricing from dealer and getting dealer parts and aftermarket parts not that big of a difference... so decided to go with higher performance parts... oh and the turbo was shot too.... needed to be rebuilt got a quote for 450 and i was doing some research online had a soldier who was going overseas so he was trying to sell his car back to the dealer so he had to stock it. so i got the turbo for 700 bucks. and he took my old turbo to use as parts. |
