Need some ideas

I just finished installing my GT28 and DNP EWG mani, got everything hooked back up,
and the car does not stay on. It cranks up then dies immediately, just like
when you install an intake for the first time, and turn the MAF backwards. (lol)

But the maf is not backwards, I've tried it both ways. The only other thing I can
say about the Intake side, is that I had my ECU reflashed for the 3.5" Maf housing.
Could this be the problem?

Also, I removed the stock boost control solenoid and I am using the grimmspeed EBC
only, could this be it? (yes it is connected to where the stock solenoid went to)

So I need some thoughts as to why a car will turn on, then turn off immediately...

-theres gas in the tank
-all fuel lines are connected properly
-MAF is not facing the wrong way (lol)
-Yes I have the whole intake connected
-Spark Plug wires are connected

**Update 14 April** Got my ecu back and still... still not running right.
I've already talked to Josh and he assured me that CPe Flashed the ecu. He is also
trying to figure out why its not working.

the cp-e 3.5" maf, it comes with a filter, so it looks just like a nano setup.

Try a stock maf to make sure indeed your ecu was flashed, just to rule it out as a possibility.

Also, keep an eye on afr's when it does start, and fuel trims maybe.

So it is 3.25 and you did get the flash? Does your Maf housing fit a can of soda in it?

If it was a fuse, the car would not even start, fuel is fine. Why would I pay some one $100 to tell me the same thing my Dash Hawk can tell me?

That is a good idea, I will try that. Also, the car does not run enough to get a good A/F reading.

iat is measured at the maf, it has to be related to the maf or the flash.

Yes, it is definitely the maf. Is it completely seated down with the o-ring sealed? I had a hell of a time with my maf sensor last week. If you have someone near by, you could always go grab their maf sensor to borrow for 30 minutes to test like I did haha.

Is the MAF all shmagged up? Could be dirty or like mad said, a seating issue.

maf is not dirty I cleaned it up with MAF cleaner and I cleaned the connectors with electronics cleaner.

One of two things here....

My prediction:
1. Not the xcelXL and you have the flash so its not running right which will turn on and then stumble and die immediately.
2. You have the xcelXL and the big maf flash was ommited.

Do me a favor. Take a picture of a soda can in the maf housing and reinstall a factory intake or standard cai / sri and try turning the car on. Doing these two tasks will let me know the problem.

Jake, my car has this same problem. I tried stock MAf, and still no workie. everything on my DH checks out and I have gone over my engine bay and SB wiring several times.

I don't know what to do anymore.

Thanks. My guess is the flash got ommitted some how so we'll take care of that. Let me know once you try with a regular intake. If the car works we know the issue

Ok, FWIW... I hooked Dizzin's Nano up, and the car started right up.

I tried his MAF and my MAF just to make sure.

That leaves only one conclusion...

Guys - in the future these tech issues are really easy for me to fix. If you just PM me or email me I am very quick to answer since all the emails go to my phone. Posting up on here gets answers from guys who don't even realize your running a completely different ecu. These flashes that allow BIG power aren't being tested on customer cars. We have locals who have been running them for multiple 1000s of miles. Their results just don't get posted because they are beta testers/shop cars. If something doesnt work its usually something stupid like only 2/3 flashes got loaded. Just let me know.

What is your issue with our product? The rare issue is to be expected. Nothing ever works 100% for everyone.

Is it because you are using a product proven not to work you are upset?
