Default new tuning option.

Hey fellow big turbo guys, I have a question. as many of you know I recently had a fail dyno because of issues I had tuning with the grimmspeed EBCS. I am now ordering a 20 lbs spring for my EWG to go the same way that Brian went for his tune with just spring pressure. I am however not going to be tuning with meth because I do not want to deal with the hassle. I want to say that I will be able to tune for 20 PSI on my setup with the GT3076 without knock, but I am not sure. Does anyone think that meth will be a must for a safe tune at these pressures? or will I be able to do it safely? I want this car to get all the power it can for the next few months to help me decide whether or not to keep it. I am damn close to calling it quits with this thing so I really need to see what it can do. Thanks!

So I will be doing a BT install in a few weeks, I have the Grimmspeed (still in the box), I was told it would work...but maybe I will stick with the OEM solenoid for now (internal WG).

Speaking as a person who tries to be fare about my comments regarding products and service, I will say that grimmspeed's service has been responsive and helpful but the product has been relatively inconsistent. I have spoken with a few different people who have had the same experience with it. So the way I see it I will go for a more tried and true approach and just tune with a wastegate spring despite the fact that it isn't necessarily the "best" way to do it. If I had 19.5 PSI with the grimmspeed with no meth and sometimes spiking above that pressure with no knock, I figure that 20.3 PSI with 2 step colder than stock plugs should work without to much problem without meth also.
So with that said, if you tune with the grimmspeed EBCS it will indeed work. It just might or might not work quite to your expectations.

Meth will def help to make your dyno run consistent and keep knock out of the pic! its a fail safe! The only way for meth tp go wrong is if its installed improperly, but your gunna wanna play around with the mix some ppl do a 50/50 a 70/30 or even a 100.
