Yes - it is not stock location and brice didn't include parts promised so they have to make their own inlets.

Im sure many here are waiting on that race Brian we will do this my man! Yes this manifold is very different than the stock manifold location. You Turbo kit is a direct bolt on Brian that shit had better fit fine, im dealing with an entire different beast.

Not worth the extra money. This can be done at home and look great for much less than paying to have it done. Two aluminum 3.5" pipes and 3 couplers (2 straight one 60 or 90 coupler) and you are set!! One of the couplers being a 4-3.5" for turbo to first 3.5" pipe.

Gerry, you're getting there man. With the welding equipment and tools you have the world is in your hands man. Start taking shit apart and make your own stuff. Its less expensive and more importantly it is much much more satisfying, this is the realization I've come to in the past week or so since I've began to redo all of my shit.. AGAIN.

Between my 2 year old and this cold i not getting much progress! I also just started this 4 days ago. Since i've had to order a few things. Today i received the final pc for my oil feed line ill post pics up later. If i had everything here I could have it all done in a day im sure, but watching Tyler build before me makes things easier lol. I should have everything here by friday the lastest. Maybe sundays is do able!

I barely worked on the car last night. I felt like crap from this stupid cold. I did manage to mock up the turbo with the new oil restrictor and oil feed line as well as both coolant lines. My Manifold has some bracing from the turbo flange to the head flange. One of the braces is perfectly aligned with the oil line of course. So i purchased this 90 4na male to female znd it did the Trick. Still have to play with the coolant lines. here's a pic of that fitting!

I just remembered. I still have an extra cp-e fmic hot pipe, its 2.5" obviously, but if you needed it for the aluminum let me know. You can have it, just pay shipping for it. This may make your life easier if you want to try to make the RR kit work, which I still think you should so that you can sell your cobb kit and get $700.

Yeah his hotpipe is identical to mine, but the cold pipe is way off. I don't know what happened there. Apparently they changed the design due to fitment issues, yet mine fits beautifully.

I agree that the Cobb kit is better.. but personally I'd rather have the $700 if I had another kit in my hands that could be within reason of making it work.

ATP has fmc! Im waiting on a 10an male flange for the oil return line. They shipped me a barbed flange by mistake on monday.The right one was supose to be here today. I just got off the phone with them and they never processed it. So now looks like Tuesday. I can see Tyler's smile now...

I was on a roll yesterday. I expexted to have the Turbo,manifold, oil & coolant lines, then i could reinstall the alternator back on and downpipe. So the first thing i did is finish my oil feed line, checked for good clearance and went to install it on the motor. Here comes the fucking FAIL! FML!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When i intalled my SST a year ago i fucked up a few threads on the motor side of the oil feed line. So i had the car towed to my mechanic and he was able to fix it. Well yesterday afternoon i realized what he actually did. He simply removed the cocked bolt an retorqued it with half the threads gone. An aluminum block and a steel bolt are a deadly combination! Basically since i didnt know there were only a few threads,when i went to torque the bolt down on the block, i finished destroying the rest of the threads. The bolt was just spinning freely. This was around 8pm last night. I think i caught an instant fever! After i calmed down a bit i started looking into a solution. With a small mirror i was able to look into the bolt hole. So to my surprise the hole is around 25-30mm deep. The banjo bolt only goes into the block around 10mm, that leaves me 15-20mm left. Luckily for me my tenant owns a machine shop as well as my neighbor next door. He is making me a new banjo bolt 5mm longer than the stocker FTW. Hopefully this will resolve my fail. I should have it done later on today ill post pictures for you guys. Dont worry Bnoon you can have the mazda banjo bolt market for yourself lol. Here are some pictures of how im hooking up my oil feed line from the stock line to 4an braided line.

So line is stainless too afaik, so i wonder if one could even just weld an adapter on some how... hmmm...

You can weld it. I think Tyler and maybe SSinstalled have taken that route. I actually have a fitting that made to be welded on one end and 4an male on the other end. The only thing with those fitting is that they are flanged to be mated to a larger line then the stocker. The stock ss feed is aprox 1/4" in diameter. The fitting i have would need to be tapped for the stock line to fit into so you can braze it or tig it. This fitting im using is normally used in high pressure hydraulic systems, basically over kill for our needs. so its a compression by female standard pipe thread and then a female standard to 4an male and then braided line to the turbo. Ill try to get some part numbers and other info for everyone soon.

its tuff i see why there is so much interest on the top mount now. Mocking up the parts is the only way i can see what is going to work versus the fail. Im sure you will be running before me. Atp fucked me till tuesday, and i just got a beautiful set of injector seals from my main man Scott. So ill be having fun with the intake mani soon.
