I bought this car damn near a year ago.....damn we've come so far in under a year though, and this is just the start of the next chapter: chasing 11s



Quick background, I originally had an MS3, as referenced in my sig. It was a lemon, had various tranny issues, but the kicker was when I got pulled by my buddy's fully loaded car.......with less mods......while I was by myself..... And NO, it wasn't driver fail, watch my track vids. I got pulled, he was faster, simple as that. Needless to say that pos was out of here asap after that haha....right when I was trying to figure out what to do when I was on my second tranny issue, my buddy told me a MS6 just got traded on the lot. I test drove it, and fully bolted and 13.3 seconds later, it's sitting in my driveway. Biggest issue is getting pulled by MS3's still.....that shit just cannot happen anymore, won't allow it. So I bought a bigger turbo to deal with that bullshit



I was originally looking at a gtx3071 or gt3076, both ewg. I decided I didn't want to go for too much power and break something, and I don't know when I can build the block or if I am, but I figure the gt2871 spools similiar to the k04, which I've grown fond of, just with much more up top. I figure on my current 3 gal E tune, I'll probably see somewhere in the 320-340 awhp range. I feel thats a reasonably safe power goal on a conservative 11.9 afr, 21-22 psi with minimal timing. I'm going to have one all out map for the track, and I wanna see how close I can get to 11s. I think I'll require a bigger snail, but then again there's guys running mid 12's on the stocker; I can hope . But on to the parts list (all thanks goes to @Block8head for conveniently parting out and not selling this shit lol):

Cp-E 3" BT Inlet
DNP Manifold
Tial 41mm Wastegate
Grimmspeed EBCS



All ready have the other gear (dp, fmic, etc) so only things I'm contemplating are injector seals and the meth kit. I'm definitely running it, just don't know what brand. DO's looks good, but not sure on stage 1 or 2. I've heard of the Cp-E safe seals as well, so not sure how important they are.



First things first, compression test, make sure everything looks good. Inching near 64k, so wanna make sure we're in good shape. Then I have to figure out the help situation and where this would be happening. Feel free to make suggestion on meth kit, injector seals, other shit I may have forgotten....

I'm gonna need some mechanically inclined help as well lol, and some people experienced with bt's. Don't take it personal if you weren't mentioned. Just going off of the people I know are experienced with this shit

LOL dude, you got a serious addiction problem and I should know, I've got my own addiction.

I reccommend the DO kit, it is more of a gut feel but they seem to work the best. Since you're going BT I think you should get the Stage 2 with the controller since you'll be working with a broader range of boost. In my case I have the Srage 1 with the switch set at 12.5 psi but I am toping out at 19 psi. If you end up going for 24 psi you'll have almost double the range to cover. So you'll need the variability of spray volume to get enough at the top without wasting or having too much at lower pressures. I should add this is my opinion based on my own logical reasoning and an extra cup of coffee this morning.

Also, you should do the meth right away, I can't believe how effective it is with just the WWF.

And add me in on the helper front. If it works with my schedule I'd love to help out.

I'm running safe seals, but search and there's a thread about some cheap ass Toyota ones or something for like $9. I have no clue if they work or not. Personally, I wouldn't put them in my car unless someone w/ a 76+ was using them for 1 year+ @25psi with no issues. That's just me though. They are mad cheap, and you typically get what you pay for, but it's worth reading the thread. No clue on a meth kit. AEM (they're new pumps are sweet)? I've heard shitting things about DO's, but others love it

I'm not helping unless you upgrade your rear diff mount beforehand

That's a sweet kit man. I love the GT28 spool. I recommend adding a 3 bar map sensor to that list. It's cheap, and we can up the boost a little further on the supermap.

What are you two running 60-100mph in? It's gay that you can't push the BT speed6 too far on the stock block. MS3s just spin, but the MS6s break :/

Haha, not bad at all. I cut a 4.73 in my fat hog mobile, but that pushed my luck too far . I'll have to see if I have mph logged when I was running 24psi and just meth. I don't think so though.

Yup low 5's for 60-100. I've hit a flat 5.0 sec on a nice cool morning.

I couldn't say either way man, they may be great. I only read a few pages, plus I already have the @SilverDemon seals so nce, lol. Either get your read on, or dig further into your wallet . If I were you I'd ask Scott what his thoughts are.

I would say yes regardless of turbo (had mine in ages before that). Definitely don't launch on the stock rear diff mount... it's garbage.

To be honest, I think I've launched the car once, if that. And it would have been a very weak launch at that. But to be safe, I'll definitely have to look into it now!

I've heard people complain about it, and that it takes like 3-4hrs, but idk as I paid to have mine installed back in the day before I became a certified mazdaspeed master tech, hahaha

EDIT: If you want to do a rear sway bar, it won't take any longer with the rear end dropped. I recall @atvfreek saying something about someone installing an RSB without dropping the rear end, but I don't remember the specifics or what kind of speed it was.

doug here is the thread on the rear sway bar i had found. i'm still holding out on my rear diff mount install as well to do a bunch of stuff all at once rather then go back there 2-3 times.
