don't cheap out and buy k1 rods..they are only good safely at around 350 hp...buy the pauters rumors are they good for 800 crank hp

My buddies snapped K1 Rod on a 300+ hp Mazdaspeed Protege

No doubt the Pauter rods are beefier but a lot of guys that are looking to go about 400hp should be good to go with k1 rods.

There's significantly more load, mechanical stresses and harmonic stresses on a four cylinder's rod.

No dyno yet. Just a base tune to drive on through the winter. Once it warms up I'll work on a good tune and getting some numbers or track times...

carillo pro streets 900+ rated, but like people have said, any bad tune can blow up any good motor. shit stocl dudes are holdin 400+ so maybe k1 will be fine. time will tell is all you can say

i have PERSONALLY seen multiple V8 and supra guys locally with these rods in there cars pushing 6-700hp with NO issues.
