rigors big turbo build

well im whore out, i went out on a crew today, and they worked my ass off!! so im going to work on it tomorrow, sorry but i work for brotherton pipeline, taking care of all their different equipment.

and sometimes when im board of the shop, or if they need a hand, i go out in the field and play haha,
it pored rain all day and was freezing cold, so i had no gloves and just rain gear, in a 5' deep ditch, up a steep ass hill, laying pipe and shading it, 2700f of 4'' gas pipe and 2- 2'' conduits to wrestle with!
and im fat and lazy, so it damn near killed me !! so no work out of me tonight and im supposed to help them tomorrow, uuug

theres a fab shop about .5 mile from the house im installin things at, she will get towed there once im as far in as i can get on it

the dp is easy, if you got the tubing. so is the hot pipe so they should be able to knock it out in a day !

yo rigor.... i hope u didnt leave that huge hole/entrance leading to your bov......

that is gonna create a ton of turbulence and constantly try to push air into that cavity adn bounce back into the flowing air headed towards your engine.....

a better idea would be for you to weld a pipe with the diameter of the bov valve/hole and weld a flange to it... this way you will have a small entrance tube pressurized instead of a cavity with a 4-5 inch entrance...

seriously think about this..... let me see if i can find a pic of what i mean...

yo rigor..... this is what i was talking about....look how cobb does the same as what you are trying to do...except they do it in a manner that will affect the flow through the pipes minimally.....




please re consider... cuz if u left the opening to your attachment there the size of the pic without the welding.... u are gonna piss some hp away needlessly

i thought about that after the fact, so it looks like ill have to redo it later! it is easy to get to, and i have more pipe laying around, so maybe after the holidays ill change it.
or when i go to put the rods and pistons in, cause im just going to run spring pressure for now, tell it gets beefed up

im running spring pressure 16 psi me no understand teh over boost
im going to go check my boost gauge, it has a memory see how high it went.
i didn't h/u the boost solenoid back up i wonder if that fouled it up? you know the stocker?

If you wanna run on spring pressure and you're using an EWG, you don't want to have the stocker hooked up

Edit: how do you have your lines run to your EWG?

i would think the only thing that not hooking up the stock boost solenoid would do is cause your wgdc to be pegged. the boost is read off the map sensor.

How are you running your boost gauge?

are you sure that your spring in the wastegate is 16psi? if your making 22psi you might have a 1.5bar spring in there.

38mm is plenty of wastegate for you, it seems like you have the wrong spring to me.

Not sure on that bro, but I was running 14 psi solid when I was running on spring pressure

^^ thats exactly how it should be hooked up, bottom to manifold pressure and top vented to atmosphere. you will use the top one for a boost controller when you hook one up.

pressure is constant all the way through, anyways its just hooked up to the bottom which doesnt keep the wastegate shut. right off the compressor should be fine.

that should work fine, you could try using the t for your boost gauge and hooking it up to the wastegate just for shits and giggles. basically switch the sources for the wg and gauge

So, I would definitely check B before I checked A. Just cause you won't have to take your wastegate off.

Only thing you need is an extra T and a bit more vacuum line
