TiAL Sport.com i wasnt sure exactly which wastegate you have so i figured to just link the technical page for tial. click on the spring pressure for the wastegate you have and it will tell you what springs create what boost. again all i can see is that its only based on color. its like jwilkins and i are in a race, haha.

| Not Ranked : 0 score This thread is pure win. Justin, to play it safe, order a smaller spring from tial, and swap it out. It's the only way to be certain IMO, and doesn't cost much at all. Also, you need to do a full pressure check on the entire intake track and listen for boost leaks. For all you know, you have a leak on your WG line and that's why it's not opening up. I know you got it all 99% done, but don't get lazy now. Would be a shame to see all this hard work end in tears.

Orange is 2% ceriated tungsten. It's good for steel, but i think 2% lanthiated is better (yellow). It seems to hold up to the heat best out of all, but for the small stuff we do, ceriated works fine.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score it is a 22-23 psi spring tested her out today yo!! here is a data log and i rolled into it real easy, but the boost comes on right now!! that is one bad ass turbo! you think ill scatter it @ 22-24? old tune is still a little fat, but this is 3rd mind you, i didn't want to load it that hard, if it was lean! and i think the kr is the exhaust hitting the tub. it scared the fuck out of me on the way home, spun them in 4th @ about half throttle, on a pass, on dry pavement! had to back out of it !! ya! haha cagey, your nuts! this thing is ridiculous! you may want to consult a dr about your power obsession, you to dj cams gtfo!

Just carious at what rpm are you seeing full spool rigor? I was thinking around 20 psi on 2.3 litler motor a 5557 .63 ar should see full spool around by 3800 rpm. Are you gonna keep boost in the 20's are dial her down to 17 like you originaly figured you would run?

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score it seems fine! but i don't know, it pulls so hard, it kinda scares me! that it might shit a rod, but i don't know. im sure it will spool a lil earlier than that, and i was so concerned about lag, but its way better all around cause, i pull a mtn and it builds a lil boost to pull the hill, and it still does with np. and pulls better in first too, a lot smoother, 1/4 throttle in first, is better than wot with stocker haha

| Not Ranked : 0 score yeah with no tune at all I'm spooling by 3800 or so. Its much faster than I expected. Still though, if it's hitting 5psi in the early 3k's that is still more than enough to get you going. 5psi is still pretty significant, its not like the stock turbo. it just doesn't feel completely dead before spool, thats all I'm saying. Mid-throttle is a hell of a lot more responsive than the stock turbo.
