RR kit received... TuNz of pictures

It's like Christmas, after all this time. I will not have time to begin installing until tomorrow most likely, but here's some pictures to munch on for the time being. Everything looks really good, I'm a little bummed about the appearance of the turbo manifold, but I suppose everything can't be pretty.

The largest thing that deviates from the setup that they were running on the car, in terms of hardware, is that the EWG was being re-circulated back into the downpipe, I had them chop that weld off of the downpipe and I will be running the EWG vent to atmosphere, pictures of dump pipe included at the bottom.

Also, I will not be running their fuel system, I'm going to hang out and wait to see what PTP does with his 2400psi pump, as well as what some others can do with upgraded in-tank pumps.

I will have further nit-picks to make when it comes time to install. So far, no complaints though. On to the pictures: ask away everyone.

How come the welds for the tubes to the plate that bolts to the head on the mani don't go all the way around?!?! seems a lil inadequate to me. But right on for getting the kit finally!!!

The welds around the mani are a little funny, but if you flip it over you see how they did it, I don't know why I didn't take a picture of how it was welded from the other side, but I should have. It's all packed up now though, ya'll will have to wait until tomorrow.

Hmm interesting......kinda looks used. Like maybe off of the original RaceRoots car or something. That looks alot different from the other setup that Subparpunk got. Manifold does look pretty good though. Not a bad job. Although I'd probably replace that core but everything else looks legit. Can't wait to see te results.

Nice, here's a map I'm running that you might be interested in running. This is the map i dynoed 308/14psi. The highest KR we saw during the dyno pulls was .35 and afr's at the sniffer @ the end of the exhaust was 12.11-12.2

My manifold is def. different... yours looks like you could clock the turbo up and it would clear.

I know what you're talking about with the other side and the welds not going all the way around, the pipes sort of extend into the flange, its hard to explain. Mine is the same way but the welds DO go all the way around on mine. Also my shit is super shiny, only rusty on the inside

Hey man real happy you got your shit. i saw that youre looking for that 2400 psi fuel rail. i was actually thinking about getting it myself but then i ran datalogs off of my shit the past couple of days and my fuel pressure on my cp-e pump averages over 1900 and spikes over 2200 at high boost. dunno what pump you got but it might be a consideration. Post results. were all interested.

I really don't think that it is rust, but I could be wrong. Im going to explore my options now for some way to coat it, I don't know if I want to shell out the money for ceramic coating, nor do I want to wait for the turn-around. Meh.

Just throw it on there and make sure everything fits right and works perfect before you deal with getting it coated. Thats my opinion at least, you have waited long enough to get this kit just have fun with it.

No fueling system for now, I'm going to keep running meth and see what John at PTP can do with that 2400psi fuel rail, and/or what anyone can do with upgraded in-tank pumps. With my pump now I see ~1700 at the lightest throttle and ~2100psi at wot so I'm not too worried about it much for now.

It is the t67 turbo, with the larger hotside, i don't remember the hotside spec but i think its 82? i will look through my emails and find it.

I have the Mrlilguy pump from a few years ago, from just before he stopped selling them. I got one of the last few so he gave it to me for super cheap. Installed it with like 2,000 miles on the car and haven't looked back, probably one of the best things ive done to it so far. He needs to start making these things again

Fawk I suck at answering questions. The manifold is not at all stock placement, it sits down a bit further and the turbo is also rotated, all intercooler piping is run from the underside of the car. This manifold and/or downpipe is not swappable with any one else's on the market. It is the 82 hotside, 0.70AR compressor housing.
