Welding on the manifold was not touched up, I had a bung welded into the cold pipe for my meth nozzle.

If the paint flakes. It was a $7 investment.

i swaintech'ed my cpe downpipe then put that vht header paint on it (cause the swaintech is white and would look really disgusting when it would inevitably get dirt on it) and it hasn't come off at all. did you bake the manifold to cure the paint - if not that shit gets everywhere haha.

Unfortunately I didn't get very far last night. A few of my manifold to head and manifold to turbo studs are starting to get rounded off, so I need to go to sears and grab something to get the fuckers out of there. I ordered all new ones so it wont be a problem next time.

I got the FMIC core mounted, everything fits really nice so far, the hot pipe fitment under the motor is absolutely awesome, I'm really impressed with the design. I will post up some pictures later tonight, I'm out of town and may be able to get back to work on it tomorrow evening.

Alright, got quite a bit further today. I'm waiting on a few parts so I can finish it all up, but so far so good. Had some bolts around the turbo that were beginning to round off, so once I got those off this morning it was downhill from there. I'm at a standstill until Thursday night though basically. Here's some pictures and stock vs. RR comparisons Also for those who don't know the turbo is a t67, basically a journal bearing 3582.

Yes, the Cp-e downpipe, FMIC, Nano SRI, Inlet, and PG manifold will be for sale SOON. I have not fully decided on prices but for those who are interested PM me and we can talk, especially if you're local. If you have already PM'ed me do so again. I wanted to ensure everything was in good shape when I got them off before I committed to prices.

However, just a disclaimer, I will not be able to ship ANYTHING until next Friday. I will be out of town.

Edit: That is a power steering cooler above the FMIC core

Because I'm running the larger core, I do not have enough room to mount the stock PS cooler with proper ventilation. It's huge. The one I have mounted is a part of the Cp-e kit, which will work with the stock PS cooler with some work, I will however be knocking off some money for the Cp-e fmic when it's officially for sale.

Thanks Philip! Im waiting on mah nice AEM dryflow filter and HKS twin power ignition to arrive with my new turbo studs and oil feed line for the turbo, next weekend it will be back together.

I'm just stuck now on finding an oil inlet line for the turbo. If anyone has any directions to point me in, besides atp, please let me know =)

Most of your hydraulic shops should be able to make you one as long as you have the fittings where it bolts to the block and the turbo.

Hey...curious...what did you use to get the rounded nuts off?? Rounded bolts/nuts are basically death...so I'm interested in different ways people get them off.

true, but i was just wondering if you busted these out when you first had signs of possible rounding off the bolts.. if the bolts would still be useable if you were in a pinch and needed them to be.

They just opened another location there, but they are still just as active in Utah. They have a dyno at both locations as far as I know.

The bolts after using that husky kit to remove them will not be usable. The kit is basically designed to break the bolt if you cannot loosen them. The bits are quite sharp, the bolts that I ended up with looked like they had gone through a blender.

i have a set of those from craftsman. i think they are called bolt-out's.

basically, if you get the point of having to use them, plan to replace the bolts you are removing. the more torque you use, the tighter the bolt-out "grabs" onto the bolt and chews it up. they work very well, though.

ive got those craftsman ones too and theyve saved me numerous times. I actually used them once to get a striped locking lug nut off. They will grip to anything.

Exactly, new studs are on the way. I wouldn't even try to re-use those bolts.

Today's progress:

I've been out of town all week, so I got back at it early this morning. Finally got a bad ass oil feed line made by a local shop for $20, I just didn't want to hack up my stock one. So I had to take out the alternator and put it back in, mounted up the new line, now I'm finally ready to drop the turbo in, mount the manifold to the block, mount the turbo to the manifold, and mount the DP to the turbo. I just need another pair of hands to hold the turbo up while I mount the manifold, I dont haz enuff muscles. Anyways, should be back on the road by Sunday!

Boner worthy? Maybe.
