Sk1nny's Billet5857 Build

So I just picked up a evo9 turbo and was gonna throw it in. Then I decided I don't want to have to make it a pain in the ass. Going with this for my build:

Stock motor
PTE5857 Billet Ball Bearing turbo. T3 .63 hotside.
Emusa 38mm wg
HTP 3" inlet

My clutch is going to be upgraded too, most likely a SB setup, when they come out
Probably gonna sell my GS EBCS and go with a MBC.

These turbos are apparently pretty sweet. 605hp capable. It's gonna be a few days, but stay tuned for pix and a few items in the FS section.

I'm a huge fan of Precision turbos. What are your power goals with this one?

For now, I'd like around 400/400...when I get some rods/pistons in, I'll definitely be crankin it up

Yeah, I have heard precisions are a great option.....This .63 t3 housing should help it spool. It may be September before mine is done lol.

Perfect turbo for that power goal and believe me it'll spool incredibly fast, like 3071 fast lol, especially with that small hot side. I would say you'll be good with that setup to 500whp with a built bottom end. If you want anything more than that a 6262 will be the perfect upgrade.

Haha then I guess we'll figure it out together. I have the same hot side as well, might swap it out for the .82 if those poor front tires can't grab onto anything

Good to hear. Yeah, I'd eventually like to be about 500whp lol. Those 6262's are really good on evo's i've heard...holy balls, my turbo is a baby compared to yours lol.

lol, yes a baby.

Honestly, my choice was to go big because I want lower tq numbers, even when using an MBC (Can't control the boost curve) so that I could maximize my traction. I would've gone with a 6262 had I had the same hp goals on a speed 6 (550+) because it would give much more useable tq.

Your turbo will flow like a gtx76 and probably out spool it. Honestly, I'm amazed everyday at how fast my turbo spools for the power it makes. Just crazy.
