Yeah, sounds like you either are missing a cap or simply have your vac lines plumbed incorrectly assuming you have verified that the EWG does move and isn't stuck closed...

So Derek looked at as well and its hooked up to spring pressure but the wastegate isnt opening at 14psi which is the same problem I was having before. Thinking of pulling one if the springs out and seeing what happens. All the ports are plugged and tight as well.

Yes, put the softest spring in there and see if it opens. Remember to ease into it!

I've heard tell of this thing called the Guardian Angel. Rumor is that it keeps things safe when problems just like this crop up.

Actually just running off spring pressure but im still overboosting

Just stop chasing your tail and hook it up to an air compressor. Takes all of 10 seconds to see what psi it opens at.

Update...

So I hooked up the EWG to an air compressor. @eric@edgeautosport and it didn't actually open till about 25psi which would explain my overboosting although the company did state the EWG came with a 14psi spring. So I then took 1 spring (the one with the most tension) and it now seems to open somewhere around 15psi.

I'm going to take it for a ride and ease into it and see if it opens and what else. Also the boost line's I have been using keep seeming to crack from the heat. What is everyone else using?

Yikes be careful with blowing lines! Get a silicone line and use a good metal worm clamp.

Yeah I was a little worried about it but I put worm clamps on there to make sure they don't blow off, just noticed a tiny little crack when taking the EWG off so I'll get something on there very soon.

Took the car out eased into boost and then did a semi WOT pull carefully watching boost and it didnt go any higher than 19psi!!! I think it's under control! @Lex

Do a few more pulls punching it and watching boost. If all is well, throw on the solenoid and ease into it again and watch boost.

So I punched it a few more times after work and it hit 20psi im suspecting because it was about 30 degrees cooler outside. Going to hookup the grimmspeed tomorrow and see what happens
