Just another build thread but hey, its something new to read and to catch everybody up to speed of how and what led me to where I am today.
First, 08 Black Mica MS3, with 50k on the dash.

WORK DONE:
NGKiridium ix one step colder, James Barone Racing balance shaft delete, AutoTech high pressure fuel pump, HTP 3.5" Intake, BNR S3, TurboXS turbo Downpipe with cat delete, TurboXS Race pipe with stock pipe and muffler. H&R Coils, Cobb AP, GrimmSpeed EBCS, Purple Drank Tuned for Auto X, Thermal Heat wrapped, James Baron Racing Solid Shifter Bushings, V1 XS Power manifold, Bosch 3 Bar map sensor, on that sweet sweet E85, James Baron EGR Valve Delete Kit, Greddy OCC VTA, coolant bypass, Forge V3 BPV, Devils Own DVC - 30 Stage 2.


Now you know what I was working with. The tune was just about done and I was far from impressed. Now don't get me wrong... The car ripped, the tune was perfect, but there was just something missing and I knew what it was but didn't want to admit to it.
So one day I am reading through the MSF classifieds and notice something that caught my eye and it was at that moment I knew what I was missing. It consisted of internals, slicks, and a giant breath taking snail. Moah powa... Fuuuucckkk. I don't even have 600 miles on this new BNRS3 I just bought. Now how do I convince the wife that I need a bigger turbo. You don't, you just buy it.
To back up the bus just a little, this is how she looked as the moment I decided to go full potato.

Just posted to classifieds my S3, sad day getting rid of a Turbo but it will not be missed when something bigger is in it's place. So here is a side by side of my snail collection along with what stopping me from pulling the motor. The nut will not back out so I will soak it with pb blaster and try again. My breaker bar wasn't enough. While I wait, I guess I could put down another beer.

I Dont know if your still stuck on this, but if that is the OEM nut which has never been removed they are not easy to remove, you need to completely chip away the part of the nut that is smashed into the groove with a chisel and then have someone stand on the brakes while you use a breaker bar with a pipe on the end like a 4 ft pip and once you break it free the future nuts come off much easier, idk how they do it OEM but they put that fucker on there almost permanently tight.

No longer on the nut, have bigger problems. The axle will not release for the bud and or transmission and now is in two. The axle need be replaced so wasn't to concerned with it.

So I mounted the wheels and dropped the car so I could use a 6' breaker bar. I was using PB blaster and a 3' breaker bar and did nothing but break the breaker bar. So upgrade it was. So in the process of lowering the car, the bike hook was pulled from the ceiling causing my hood to fall and create a good size dent.

@PurplFox; I have both and did nothing but use of the impact wad prior to pb blaster. @Strangel; that sucks.
I was pretty pissed but what ya going to do, punch yourself in the face. . . I mainly just shrugged it off and called it a night. In the end, it's a racecar, not a trailer queen.

All good, I learned the hard way. i have ran across a few that just didnt want to budge. Broke 3, 1/2- 3/4 adapters, we were like WTF

Well, sold my S3 which will be used for my new JMF mani. Now that I got my boostjunkyz and JMF mani's out of the way... time to purchase my dual catch cans and perm plate.

I saved for a while. I didn't even do anything to my car for the first couple yrs. (That was tough) But I waited until I knew what I wanted. I wanted a car that a can compete with and constantly be in the top 5. I am going to try a few different forms of racing for a lot appeal to me. So far nothing has changed except the turbo lol. I literally just had my tune finished and decided it wasn't enough. I had a BNR S3 and I felt it wasn't going to do the trick. It was fast, don't get me wrong, but wasn't fast enough for me. I spent many yrs living vicariously through other people's build and I finally said enough.

The last few days have been awesome, unfortunately there was no wrench time. However, I am awaiting for my new BoostJunkyz manifold to be made and delivered as well as my JMF manifold to be made and delivered. Going to be a sweet fucking build and really can not wait until I can drive this around laguna seca!

Make sure he makes the EWG runner teardrop instead of come off at a 90*. Two people i know who just got them have uncontrollable boost creep with even the softest spring combo. One a vband and one a t3...

boostjunkys manis? has anyone contacted them about this problem? They also warranty and have a lifetime warrant on any and all of their work no questions asked

thought I had more Ill try to find the other pic but this is where one of the supports was. The weld appeared to be cold because as you can see... it's missing the entire back side of the bead. Lack of penetration or something lol shit fucking weld

they have to ship them back but he is willing to fix them on his dime of course. you should make sure yours is teardrop before he ships it to you.
